  • Bad in what way? I like having them from time to time - buttered popcorn, caramel corn, and the chocolate crunch ones by Quaker are good, but the plain ones aren't even worth the 10g carbs if you ask me. Taste-wise, that is. I rarely eat them alone - as with most things, they go great with peanut butter.
  • Your roommate is an idiot. Do your thing, get strong, and then rub it in her face later. The jealousy dynamic between women is so stupid. Don't worry about it.
  • I prefer no body hair on myself, but a man without leg, arm, armpit, or pubic hair is a huge turn-off for me. I can do without chest hair and back and ball hair has to go but other than that, I like my men to have some hair on them. And I'm a huge fan of facial hair. I'm definitely cool with men grooming. Wax that unibrow,…
  • The only thing that curbs actual hunger is food...or, you know, supplements you probably shouldn't be taking.
  • Sodas: Diet A&W Root Beer Cherry Coke Zero Diet Coke Non-Sodas: Clear American Sparkling Water (Walmart brand, I think) in Pineapple Coconut or Strawberry
  • 2500 calories is not a binge. That's all I came here to say.
  • So...if you're NOT fitting it into your calories and just eating as you would like to, would you be eating the entire thing of cinnamon rolls and the whole cake? Probably not. Either other people help you eat it or you eat it over the course of several days until it's either gone or no longer good depending on how long it…
  • For taste, Halo Top rules all. For calories, Arctic Zero is as good as it gets. I second slow churned Edys if you can fit it in. Real ice cream is always my preference, but you gotta do what you gotta do when your macros/calories are low and you want something ice cream-ish. I've never tried Wink or Enlightened, but I've…
  • I love to take 3/4-1 cup of cottage cheese + 1 scoop of a good tasting vanilla protein (I prefer PEScience) + 1/2 cup crushed pineapple. Mix it all together and eat right away or refrigerate overnight. Sweet, creamy, and full of protein. It's a great post-workout snack/meal too.
  • I'll be damned if I'm wasting 1000 calories a day on bananas. For me, bulking is a time to get in your micros and use the rest of your macros on fun foods. There's nothing fun about eating 10 bananas. I'm not Freelee the Banana Girl.
  • You control what you put into your mouth. He's a grown up and is capable of making that decision for himself as well. You're responsible for your own decisions when it comes to food, and you can't blame him for making you eat high calorie foods. My husband has to eat 4000 calories a day to basically maintain his weight,…
  • Nope. My husband is still in bed by the time I leave for work and he doesn't do it when he gets up. I don't see much of a point - no one sees our bedroom but us and I'll be sleeping in it eventually anyway. The only time it's ever made is when I clean on Saturdays and, to be honest, I just straighten up the blanket and put…
  • I started off with an A cup....and ended up with an A cup. I can't relate to the struggle. They do look different though, and not in a good way. Oh well, it's nothing $8000 can't fix. Honestly, though, if I had to pick between bigger boobs and a bigger butt, I'd choose the booty without a second thought.
  • Well lasagna isn't necessarily nutritious and cake isn't necessarily low in nutrition. What tastes "better" is a matter of mood and opinion, as you alluded to. Personally, I'd go for the lasagna....and cake for dessert.
  • I do just fine, thanks. I never said that nutritionally dense food tastes bad to me, but a bag of kale will never taste as good as a donut. And I think most people would agree with that, regardless of their weight. Just because there's something out there that tastes better doesn't mean I'm going to go get that instead of…
  • None. What does "unhealthy" mean anyway? The foods I loved to indulge in before I lost the weight still appeal to me - I just eat them less often and/or in smaller quantities. I'm never grossed out or or horrified by what I used to eat. Food is good. Food that is high in calories and low in nutritional value tends to taste…
  • On Sunday I cooked up some burgers with 93/7 ground beef (turkey would also work, but ew). So in the morning I just grab a patty, a slice of cheese, and half of a pita. I assemble it at work with some reduced sugar ketchup and baby spinach. And a mandarin orange on the side. It's pretty dang tasty if I do say so myself.
  • Aaaaaand I'm a jerk. Sorry.
  • Is that English? First you need to determine if you're eating too little. And no, not because of the mythical starvation mode, but the fact of the matter is this: if your deficit is too large, no tips or tricks are going to keep you full throughout the day. I can't tell you what too large of a deficit is since I don't know…
  • If I ate so little that I lost 2lbs per week with only 20lbs to lose, my husband would probably divorce me because I'd be a huge b*tch. I have custom goals, but I'm happy with 0.5lb/week. What's the rush?
  • His wife is a champion bodybuilder but he doesn't think women should lift heavy? That makes a lot of sense. I agree with the first person - find a new gym.
  • Seriously, what doesn't cause cancer?
  • Pre-workout is pretty gender neutral. It's a stimulant - how you react to it is specific to you, and has little to do with what's between your legs.
  • I'm far from a "clean eater," so I have plenty of foods that some may consider unhealthy on a daily basis. I eat dessert every single night. I also eat out every Saturday night, but I make it fit my macros (which are higher on weekends). But one Saturday per month, I go nuts and eat all the food. It's planned every four…
  • This is pretty much the only salad I'll eat - baby spinach, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, shredded chicken, feta cheese, roasted almond slices, and lemon juice instead of dressing. So many delicious flavors and they all blend nicely. It's pretty filling and, of course, you can use as much or as little as your…
  • I've never been part of a cult either, but I have no interest in trying it. ;)
  • I use Nature's Own 40-calorie honey wheat bread. Healthy? Who cares - it's 40 calories per slice. If I can have two slices of bread for under 20 grams of carbs, I'm game. And it tastes good, and taste is king.
  • Weekdays: 4:00 - Wake up, lifting session in my garage gym 6:15 - Cook and eat post-workout meal, give dog medicine, take vitamin/fish oil/probiotic, last minute food prep for work day 6:45 - Shower, clothes, makeup, hair 7:30 - Leave house 8:30-5:30 - Work (I'm a legal assistant)* 9:30 - Second breakfast * 12:30 - Lunch *…
