BluNinjaneer here, reporting for duty. New to Challenge, new to Reddit, not new to trying to lose weight....

Figured I should pop in and wave "hi" from central Kansas!

I am down with this. I currently live 1,375 road miles from Disney World (and 1,374 road miles from Disneyland), so it may take me a very long time to get there, but I'll get there eventually!! *grin* I agree about the group formation - I'd love to see how others are doing on this.

Completed W4D3 yesterday, and was pleased with my endurance. My speed is still well below what is considered competitive, but my goal is simply to jog an entire 5k without stopping. Fingers crossed that tomorrow goes as well!

Yoga and the Walking Dead marathon on AMC. Although, I am watching the potential train wreck that is the halftime show....

That those reflective road tabs you see along the centerline of a two-lane highway are not razorblades....
-
2.31 miles walked today. Still not convinced I'm going to make the 50 mile goal....
-
4.1 miles completed today. I'm getting there, slowly but surely!
-
W4D1 completed after yoga today. Only managed 2 miles in the 31 minute program time, but I'm focusing on endurance more than speed right now. At least that's what I'll keep telling myself so long as the speed of my "running" is considered a "brisk walk" by MFP....

Approximately three miles completed on Jan 19. Reaching 50 miles by the end of this month is going to be a real challenge, now that classes and work have started back up....

Considering I wasn't able to work out all week (damn you seasonal cold!), any loss is acceptable. Here's hoping that during this upcoming week I can maintain my calorie intake while increasing my exercise!
-
My favorite time to work out is between 8pm and 10pm. I am most definitely a night owl, and find it impossible to wake up before work and go to the gym; hell, most days I have a hard time waking up to actually get to work on time (but that's a whole other issue). Part of the reason why I work out late is because I do not…

Weighed myself a couple of days ago and was down 4 pounds. I will be curious to see what happens at the next weigh-in - birthdays and hormonal cycles have conspired against me this past week!
-
W3D2 completed, and this time it went a LOT better than day 1. I think I really need a significant warm-up/stretch before I jog every time (today I had yoga before I did my jog). I'm still a little chagrined that the speed in which I jog is considered a "very brisk walk" by MFP standards, but I'm going to be incredibly…

3.74 miles of walking/jogging with the C25K program.
-
Added another mile of walking today!
-
1/9/13 - 1.2 mile walk --> it wasn't fast and it wasn't pretty, but my feet still pounded the pavement (or treadmill, as the case may be *grin*)!

Worked to complete Week 3 Day 1 yesterday, and while I wasn't able to jog all the sections in their entirety, I still managed to average a 15-min mile. I'm hoping that tomorrow yields better endurance on my part. How are others doing on their C25K?
-
Thank you. And good luck to you as well!
-
1/1/13 - 3.1 miles walk/jog 1/4/13 - 4.0 miles walk/jog 1/5/13 - 3.0 miles walk 16/6/13 - 3.8 miles walk/jog
-
Since I've decided to only count jogging/walking, this is going to be a bit more challenging! 1/1/13 - 3.1 miles walk/jog 1/4/13 - 4.0 miles walk/jog 1/5/13 - 3.0 miles walk

I try to fold veggies into my everyday cooking: spinach and chives in scrambled eggs, California sushi rolls with avocado, fresh mushrooms and onions thrown into a jarred pasta sauce (good suggestion lucypeaks), etc. Worst-case scenario, I steam an individual package of corn (Birdseye brand, IIRC) and have it accompany…

Let's do this!

I'm pretty sure most of my excess weight is just a build up of scathing comments and random sarcastic witticisms.... You, sir, sound like a kindred spirit! *smirk*

Since there is more photographic evidence that Big Foot and Nessie exist than there is of my existence, you will have to settle for the stats: Age: 35 Height: 5'7" Weight: 235 Hips: 46" Waist: 48" Pant Size: 18-20 Build: Michelin Tire Man (thicker in the middle, with lots of rounded layers) Neck: 15" Thigh: 26.5" Upper…

I am! I actually started last week, so I am on Week 2 Day 2 (that's what I did this afternoon). I'd love to know your progress, since I have no concept of how fast I should be going or when that endurance should kick in. *smirk*

I, too, am a C25K convert, although I am on the back side of "chunky" (in the words of Gabriel Iglesias, I am "damn!"), and the slow side of "running" (my best 5K time is 39:42... thank you downhill course!). I'm hoping that by surrounding myself virtually with people who aren't Usain Bolt (like the folks in my local Y…
