Week three of eating more and week three of weight loss! Woohoo!!
-
I would start eating 100 calories more per week until you see the scale move. And I would also start doing more heavy weight lifting to max out reps and less cardio. Build muscle to burn fat, more protein in your diet and one protein shake or something after you work out to repair the muscle. You are probably burning way…
-
Also - try whatever change you are going to make for a four to six week period of time. Please! Because if you only do it for two weeks, its not going to work. You might see a gain at first as your body levels out and realizes "hey I am not being starved anymore, I can let go of some of this excel crap I've been holding on…

One thing I know for certain after wearing my bodymedia fit for four months.. I was NOT eating enough to lose weight. I think most people underestimate their activity level, or MFP has the levels set low. When I was working out three plus days a week, I would have to set my actvitity level to high to even get the MFP…

Wow really? Its hard to guestimate when I buy it at restaurants...I always figure around 800-900 cals if I ate the whole thing for sure.
-
I second fake sugar too...even including all natural fake sugar. Tastes terrible.

Can you find low cal pad thai? The stuff isn't all that bad to begin with. It would be like eating low cal sushi, and that ain't gonna happen. I think eating sweet potato fries in place of regular is just nuts. For one, if you get them at a restuarant they are still fried! For two, sorry, they aren't the same. No way. No…

It's makes you sweat so you lose water weight. You have to be careful about dehydrating yourself. And I question the whole losing 2 dress sizes using it.

My favorite protein powder I'd anything by spirutein. One scoop has the daily vitamins in it plus a bunch of good digestive enzymes. However it has too much carbs for me right now, so I found plant fusion. It's not bad. I also generally add in chia seed and some ground flax to my shake to increase fiber and protein.
-
You get net carbs fom subtracting dietary fiber from carbs. I've been trying to limit carbs to 125 a day and a bit more on the weekends but never over 150. It's not as hard as I thought it would be and I am eating milk, cheese, etc. It just takes some thought. If you replace your white food (bread, rice, etc) with veggies…

I read that thread but I didn't post. I did report it. There were two people in that thread that should be given the boot IMO. You can't have that on a site like this. It was embarrassing to me as a human being. I'm glad you posted this because I thought about that thread already this morning as well and still couldn't…

I drink a ton of water. And I wear poise pads too (they work way better than panty liners and are as thin). IT is what it is. I sneeze and I pee. I cough and I pee. I once peed myself completely jumping on a trampoline. Good thing I can laugh at myself.

People who have very huge opinions on something that they've never experienced. Like how to raise a baby, buy a car, eat your food, etc.

Oh I'm sorry I misunderstood..I though you were doing P90X and had already done the other. I would still check with the Turbofire/P90X groups and take measurements. How are your clothes fitting? And secondly check your diet out. Are you eating enough for all the cals you burn doing those programs? I had to go up in cals.
-
Well doing P90X most people don't lose weight, they lose inches. Are you measuring yourself? Insanity is more cardio based where P90X is muscle confusion. Have you searched the P90X threads by chance? You will find much helpful info about losing inches, etc. versus weight while doing the program. I actually gained 5 lbs…

I think any interview a person goes to should be wearing nice business casual clothing at minimum. Unless the company is specifically known for being against that. There are few like that (Rogue Brewery states that specifically in their job section). It always blows my mind when we get people in here for job interviews and…

I think if you tried different things until you found something you liked then maybe you wouldn't feel this way. There is a difference between feeling like daeth because your muscles are burning and you completed the most awesome work out, and feeling like death because you are forcing yourself to exercise and run which…

Lunges. I hate lunges.

Flax pancakes: 1 cup of ground flax 1/4 cup kefir or cream or milk 4 eggs pumpkin puree, or apple sauce - enough to get it to a watered down consistency vanilla, etc. Let the mix sit for about 5 minutes and it will thicken up. Then cook like normal. They are YUM and SO good for you. Especially if you use kefir.

Okay I looked at the group - I'd like to add the verbage about if you stay through the first challenge you join THEN you will get added to the next challenges list. And it looks like we could start a new topic under that group for the 200+ sheddin the stuffin and just start a new topic for each challenge right? EDIT: I…

I would prefer to have only ONE place to comment on, etc.

I thought I'd offer up a non-shopping website since I seem to offer too much temptation in that realm hehehe. Www.Thesaladgirlblog.com. I bought her cookbook at a home improvement store this weekend and there are so many fantastical salads in there that I can't wait to try them. Her blog doesn't seem to have too many…

FIST PUMP!!! That is fantastic work man! Keep it up!

I kindof rue that I can't eat a whole 12" subway or a chips salsa AND a whole huge plate of mexican food these days...there just flat out isn't room in my stomach like there used to be...but then my tastes in food have also changed. Given the choice, I'd rather eat at a tapas (small plate) type restaurant over a mexican…

Coffee - I flat out refuse to give that away. And when the mood strikes Oreo Cakesters. They are the debil. The bane of my hormonal existence once in a while. For the most part I've not really given anything up, just found my way around it by making them healthier. Even coffee...but the cakesters? Nothing can replace them.

I pretty much agree with sdwelk11. And if you still feel that writing her a letter is a goo idea, then maybe take it from the approach that she shouldn't let her weight hold her back from what she wants to do, she needs to love herself and stop punishing herself by not living Life. Choosing to lose weight is like choosing…

While I agree with them in theory - well the ones that aren't homeless or wanderers that are just there because they have nowhere else to go and nothing else to do, I hope that they will be gone by January!!

Gasp! Cutting cheese out?! I've tried and can cut WAY back, but can't get rid of it completely. Good for you for trying.

Amy - I think thats a good idea to let the other people have the dog..this chick sounds flaky and if she's acting this way now, then who knows how he will get treated. Also, I passed the Final Food Frontier this weekend and bought myself some kerrygold butter. Lordy lordy. Jessi - do you ever take any probiotics or…

Kerry - I make pasta sauce using a can of either crushed or pureed tomatos...olive oil in a pan with chopped onion and garlic until they are clear and hot and yummy, then add in the tomato sauce, italian herbs and fresh basil if you have it. Salt and pepper to taste. Then I add in about another tbsp of good olive oil and…
