Victoria!!! I read this and thought of you..can't remember where you will be in Alaska, but maybe close enough? Next to the state's largest ski resort, just outside Anchorage, Girdwood was originally called "Glacier City" for the colossal icy peaks that surround it. Calving glaciers thunder into the Prince William Sound,…

Nava - I'm supposed to go out for Italian some time this week for lunch.. I feel your pain. They do have some super cute dresses that would work for casual and professional wear. I love that site. I also bought a pair of black suede wedge heels with a beige strap and buckle that I am looking forward to getting.

Nava - look at this Plus Sized Chic one. they are there!

----209.4---- I spent about 75% of yesterday in my dark bedroom with the heatpad stuck to my head. The sinus headache was a flucking killer and while its mostly gone I am still feeling it and its pissing me off. This makes three days in a row. On another note, ever since I came back from Europe I am remembering my dreams…

So I thnk that can keep my carbs to right around 100 this week using the foods I've already purchased. Next week I will Have to find some more food stuff that isn't milk or yogurt so I can get my saturated fats down too. I am gonna go to target or somewhere and buy some chia seeds and sinus pain medicine. Chia seeds seem…

Victoria yes there is lots of controversy over the whole caveman diet thing.. I think for now I'm goin to start doing the 50 grams of protein for breakfast within 30 mins of waking and lowering carbs as I can with a goal of 125 a day. Usually I'm above 200 I think. I have a major sinus headache on my left side. I want to…

Sarah - I would do some research on an anti inflammatory diet. I know there are a few out there that would probably help you out. Clean eating and such. I'm sorry you are dealing with that. So happy to hear your son's birthday part went well today!! Yeay We went to see Puss N Boots tonight..it was good. I was hoping to see…

Amy isn't it funny that since my ratios were good that my doctor doesn't even seem to be worried about it at all? I had to get on webmd and read about the codes and translate myself other than her One line note about the ratios. In reading about the lepton reset thing fibromyalgia iw mentioned several times...can't…

Married twice. The last wedding was like the perfect day, of course there was drama, but it kicked major @ss and we partied 'till about 2am. The marriage has been good, I am content 98% of the time. But it isn't easy and takes a *kitten* ton of work. And I am a lazy person, so yeah. Don't ever get complacent in a marriage.…

Lab test results: Triglycerides: 50 mg/dl - range is 26-149. This is the main form of fat in the body I guess (mostly hip and belly fat). So I am good on this number. LDL Calc: 144 - range is 0-130. This is the bad cholesterol...so I thought I'd been doing good staying away from saturated and trans fats, but maybe not? I…

Pam, if I use my protein powder, fage yogurt and milk then I get to like 45 grams of protein, so its doable...but then the carbs are up around 30. Its just kind of a crazy thing to ponder. I'm not sure if its doable with the whole lack of carb thing. its just odd.

Morning! Happy Friday! Total good NSV for me this morning...two years ago I bought this tshirt at Target. Its light red with these waves across it. It is a Mossimo XL from the junior section and I bought it to start working out in. It wasn't a stretchy kind of t shirt, just one that either fits or doesn't. It was so…

Oh oh! I forgotted... NAVA and other leige waffle wannamakers: I made regular waffles and sprinkled some raw sugar on top of the batter before I put the top down on them this weekend...while they weren't all crispy and stuff, they taste exactly the same!! (I used Pamelas GF baking mix, it seriously makes The Best pancakes…

Nava - you are SO right. The worst thing that can come of it is they can say no. I hate asking for that stuff too, but once in a while it has to be done, so nut up and do it. Go girl!!

Here is what I know so far about the paleo or primal or caveman diet: Many serious crossfitters follow one of the diets. Its mostly based around meat, though I am sure you would find a vegetarian version that you could use. http://plymouthcrossfit.com/pcf/plymouth-ludus/paleo-vs-food-pyramid/

I loved loved being pregnant. And even giving birth wasn't that bad. But the two weeks after G was born? Ugh. I wasn't going to breastfeed because I'd had reduction surgery and knew it wouldn't really work. Wll then in labor I decided I was going to try and it was a complete disaster. I didn't have enough milk and the…

Hiya Ladies! I'm on hold with my doctors because I STILL haven't gotten a call or a letter or anything from the doctors office for the blood work I had done almost a month ago now. Sheesh. Annette - I did log everything up to dinner last nigth when I had to change things up because the salmon I had in the fridge to make…

Just when thought I'd get a few months without travel. I am going to Ontario the week after TG. So my new goals for this challenge are as follows: 1. walk every day. Even if it is just 1 mile. 2. stick to the cal goal MFP (1700 something) gives me and eat my exercise cals back. I am going to log what MFP gives me for…

I don't even know if I set goals last challenge or not. 1. Exercise three times a week. 2. Find a calorie intake setting and stick to it 3. Stick to these two goals for the whole of six weeks. In other words, be consistent.

There are worse things than pap smears. Like having an iud put in. Or taken out. I'd rather give birth again. Speaking of womanly parts..I'm seriously thinking about getting that in the doctors office sterilization done where they put the two porous things in your fallopian tubes and insert this gold mesh thing in your…

For the first time in two weeks, I'm gonna go home and walk tonight. Not sure if I will run. Not sure if it will be any longer than the 1.9 mile loop, but for sure I am going. So there. And then I need to decide if I want to make buffalo bbq chicken gorgonzola pizza or blackened salmon tacos with avocado and mango salsa.…

Damn I forgot to watch Walking Dead last night. I haven't been recording it because I am still somewhat on the fence about it, but it looks GOOD right now. Maybe I can catch a rerun tonight or something. I too love makeup. I have makeup just to have imakeup. I wear it every day during the work week and try to throw on a…

Not to say that you are pregnant by any means...but are you so unbelievably tired that you can't keep your eyes open? Thats how I was the first trimester. I had to drop out of three of four college classes because I'd flat out pass the eff out in them.

Weighing in at 209.2 this morning. Not bad considering I started TOM at 4:30 this morning, and ate a huge cheeseburger, garlic fries, a few sips of a strawberry milkshake, some frozen yogurt AND a piece of an icecream cake yesterday.
