There are "arm bicycles" you can get, my husband has used them in physical therapy and they seemed to get his heart rate going decently, plus it's easy to do while watching TV. =) I like to spin poi sometimes for fun, which is spinning 2 balls on cords in different patterns like a dance, maybe google it and see if this is…

I eat them all the time because I'm on the go a lot and they are a huge timesaver for me. I usually add a piece of fruit or some frozen veggies as a side dish to bulk the meal up a bit. Also many of the Healthy Choice meals are low in sodium as well if you are concerned with that. My favorite is Lean Cuisine Santa Fe Rice…

REALLY wierd thing happened to me....about 9 years ago I lost 40lbs and half a shoe size. Over the course of the past 2-3 years I gained back about 45lbs...and my shoe size never went back up. Do not get it, but glad I didn't have to replace all my shoes again I guess?

An average 2-year-old...which is good cuz I was going to eat one for lunch! *muah hah hah*

I'm about halfway through C25K, and on my off days I either do an at-home weight circuit with dumbells, or a yoga/toning DVD, bike ride, or dance. I personally wouldn't want to do 30DS at the same time because there are a lot of high impact/jumping moves, however I have heard of people doing so with success.

Your "on the wagon" plan sounds really sensible and good. If it's not stress making you binge, maybe just take a look at the various situations (restaurants, parties, office goodies, etc.) and trying to find some healthier ways to get through these temptations? Like bringing healthy snacks, figuring out some diet-friendly…

Started in September at 183lbs....currently 157. My first goal was 145, what I weighed a few years ago before putting on this desk job/depression related weight over the past couple of years. Not sure if I will keep losing when I reach that or not but now that I have started exercising WAY more than ever, I just might. :)…

I'm halfway through as of yesterday and when I started, I could not complete Day 1. I failed at it twice then I downloaded an interval app instead and set it for even shorter intervals than c25k starts at...like 15 seconds running to 1 min walking. The next time I went "running" I set it for 20 seconds running to 1 minute…

No way. Wendy's fries dipped in a Frostie is where it's at!!

LOVE the idea of maintenance rewards! Definitely going to try that this time around, maybe I wouldn't be losing weight again if I'd done this. Very smart!

Pretty much don't bother with anything having less than about 15 calories or so - low cal veggies, condiments, sweeteners, etc. Hey I could use that time exercising, right? LOL

Shoes! At 10lbs I bought running shoes & started the c25k program. Just hit 25lbs lost and I need me some new Converse! :D Bonus, they will still fit if I keep losing!

Ehhh...I go with either MFP or Runkeep for walking/running or I look up different website calculators if MFP seems like it's not right or I'm doing an activity not in the MFP list. I usually put in just a little bit less time than I worked and hope that it's close enough. I've been losing on track with my goals so at this…

Some good advice here. I have hardly driven for the past 2 years since I was in an accident. It happened during a time of extreme stress for other reasons and I blamed myself/my stress level for the accident. I have hardly been behind the wheel since and while it is not too much of a cramp in my lifestyle right NOW there…

Check out Tara Stiles too on YouTube, some great beginner routines and a very encourage, approachable style. Most of her clips are short (10 min or less) but you can string a few together for a longer workout. I personally love them as a quick pick-me up or stretch/destress session on busy days.

Dressing on the side & hold the mayo are my go-to eating out phrases... A lot of times I'll go for something simple like steak or grilled fish with baked potato and a veggie, or if I'm splurging just eat half and take half home. Love that more and more restaurants are offering diet friendly items.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ Everything you could want to know & more on that link. Love mine, switched to it about 9 months ago and feeling much healthier now! It's about $25 a month for refill liquids and parts for me, much cheaper than my pack a day habit was!

I just ate at maintenance calories the whole week of my birthday! Hahaha!! Try to have a good workout that day or tomorrow so you can feel good about that and enjoy the cake & the birthday! Tiramisu....YUMMMMMM!!! Totally worth the calories on a special occasion!

I do something active just about every day, but usually one day a week is very light, just a leiserly walk or bike ride or something. Maybe once every two weeks or so I take a day completely off, usually a Monday because for some reason I tend to eat lighter on MOndays anyway.

What a difference! Lookin good lady! :)

Totally normal and a sign of your body cleaning itself out again. Congrats!! I have heard that drinking lots of water and juice can help this, certainly being well hydrated can't hurt! Exercise can also help get this crap out of your a little faster. Look at it as a sign of healing, yay you!!

Bump! I'd like to know too, I just started running and I'm obsessed with zombies so I'm curious to hear if anyone has experiences?

Saving TONS! I have a Joye 510 refillable... the starter kit was I think $60 (enough for both my husband and I to get started). I buy refillable liquids in different flavors (Oh SO Many fun flavors to try!) and occassionally need a replacement battery or other part, total ongoing expense is probably around $25/month, vs.…

Hi there! I switched entirely to ecigs last Spring. I had been gaining weight slowly for about 2 years due to other issues I was having and I didn't start thinking about losing weight until around September of last year, so I can't say how much the ecig had to do with the weight I've lost since then, most of the credit I…

I love all types of fat free yogurt, skim milk, and light sour cream. But if you come near with a slice of fat free cheese I will run in the other direction as fast as I can.

I weigh myself at work, just take off any heavy sweaters & my shoes. I try not to obsess about the number but to look at the downward trend. :) I won't weight myself though if I wore a bulky outfit or thick jeans or something heavy that day...
-
I drink mine away cuz I get really grumpy if I don't have my post-workout beer... (though I admit when I started this journey I discovered that I was drinking a LOT of my calories in orange juice and have switched to only drinking that a couple times a week out of a teeny 4oz glass)
-
I usually have a mini almond snickers bar. Or a glass of bubbly. Or save the calories to have some of those things on the weekend, but I try not to net under 1200 calories in any one day or I will have a bad exercise session the next morning usually.
-
Yes! Congrats!! :) I quit last Spring using an electronic cigarette and lots of walking, shopping, hot tea, video games, and crafting to distract me. I probably gained a little weight in the process (not sure, wasn't really tracking it until a few months after) but now I am feeling fitter than I have in years and have…

I workout every day but often the days are gentle, maybe half an hour of dancing or yoga. I really push for a long, hard workout once a week and mix it up the other days with shorter workouts and just yoga or walking if I am really low on energy. One of my main reasons for working out is stress relief/relaxation and I find…
