  • I wish I had done it at 22. Great Job!
  • Started in September with 182 pounds to lose, have lost 59 so far, still have 123 pounds to go.
  • February 18th... 15 pages and no Twin yet.
  • Yes, I would have taken the $10,000 spent towards college and invested it in Microsoft when it was just a start up.
  • It is a great pedometer, and they do a good job on motivating you via the information that is available on the Fitbit site. With that being said, I will not buy another, because I believe the money would be better spent on a good HRM. While it is nice to know how many steps you have taken, and to try to pass your previous…

  • I look at it as accurate, if you are over it should be red, even if you are just 1 calorie over...you are still over. If there was to be a Yellow, I would think only the number "0" would be Yellow. I have been to the Grand Canyon and trust me, if you walk farther than you are supposed to on a ledge it does not matter if it…
  • I have read the original post, in fact twice now, and I do not see where you state that you are referring to real life interactions; in fact, I was going to comment that if you have friends that make unwanted comments you should just unfriend them as there are always new friends who will never say a thing to you and just…
  • It surprises me that people constantly try to change the system that this site already has in place. The water count does not say "We recommend you drink 8 glasses of hydrating liquid" it says "We recommend that you drink at least 8 cups of water a day". Water counts as Water, nothing else.
  • I have lost 60 pounds since September 11, 2012.
  • I didn't read through the pages of non-replys so if this has been stated already, I apologize. Maybe the person is in a career that requires her to walk all day? Like a waitress, if she has her settings on sedentary and wears a monitor that links, then that could account for the "9 hours" of straight cardio exercise. Quite…
  • Tell the truth, in a round about way "No thanks, I have a low tolerance for sugar"; which is true because if you eat it your body will have a reaction that resembles swelling only doesn't go away as quickly.
  • Did you ask him on the 2nd date or did he ask you? If you asked him, then it may be between paydays or other expenses took priority and he may simply have not had the money, or had it but needed to pay for other expenses. If he asked you, he should pay, old fashioned or not...the man should pay if he asks for the date.
  • My goal for December: I am going for 20 Hours (1,200 Minutes) of exercise. After Novembers successful goal of 50 Miles I realized I don't spend that much time exercising, in fact altogether to walk 50 miles I spent a little over 16 1/2 hours walking; so I am aiming to increase that by about 25% and that is how I came up…
  • You have gotten a Warning from Forum Moderators...better stop there.

  • Hey, well first I would say don't listen to the "1 to 2 Pounds a week is all that is recommended" garbage that is spread like wildfire on this site. At your weight, you should easily lose 6 to 8 pounds every single week simply by reducing your calories. These folks all mean well, they simply have never been "big" by our…
  • I have never seriously tried to lose weight prior to MFP. I joined MFP on September 11, 2012 and weighed 382 pounds. As of last Friday I weigh 326 pounds, so I have lost 56 pounds in 11 weeks. That is right at the estimate of 5 pounds a week, and should that pattern continue would result in a 100 pound loss as of January…
  • When she told me that she was going to Wisconsin Dells with Steve for the upcoming weekend. I said I would try to change my schedule, she said "No not you and Steve and I, just Steve and I". I said if you leave this house with another man on Saturday then when you return I will be in Florida. Well, been living in Florida…
  • How many threads are there going to be on this topic? I say ten, before the days is done. Break down of how much you would actually take home... http://www.usamega.com/powerball-jackpot.asp
  • Well first I would come on MFP and ask for some sound financial advice. Ok, maybe not, I would sit at my dining room table and design what I would consider to be the perfect house, from subfloor to roof. Not to blueprint specifications, but pretty close. Then I would buy a wall map of the US and go state by state pro's and…
  • Wow, ok had to go back and read the OP again to remember where this all started. The answer to your question is "No". You do not need to eat back your exercise calories to lose weight, in fact doing so may slow or even reverse your weight loss effort. Based solely on your profile picture you do not appear to be a skin and…
  • Check out this site, and bookmark it: http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators.html {Body Mass Index (BMI): Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR): Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR): Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE): Daily Caloric Consumption (DCC): Lean Body Mass (LBM): Body Fat (BF)}
  • I tell my friends and those seeking to be that I am not much of a cheerleader. I will say Good Job and Nice Burn and congratulate you on you successes; but I am here to eliminate your excuses not condone them. It is really quite discouraging as I scroll through my news feed and notice one universal truth; every time…
  • ^ This. At 133 pounds you are where you need to be, perhaps some lifting to tone your body would improve your perception.
  • What kind of price range were you looking for? I mean a Nerf gun is great but so is the Power Wheels Rubicon Jeep $237. And where does he live, city, county, farm? In other words, a basketball is not a good gift if the closest hoop is 20 miles away. Just trying to get a bit more information to give a better response
  • There are a ton of things that you really should do to get the most out of your trip. Lets leave the strip for a moment, a short drive away is the Hover Dam and seeing it in person along with its history is truly amazing. Speaking of amazing, you should go to the Grand Canyon. You will see such beauty that you have…
  • ^^ This. House does not even have heat.
  • One little addition to that cycle....the more you drink, the more you flush your cells, the more you pee, the more you pee, the more you move, the more you move the more calorie deficit you have, the more calorie deficit you have, the more weight you lose. I don't recall where I read it, it must have been true it was on…
