THIS! I used to diet all the time: low fat, low carb etc. Whatever the latest hit was. After a few months, I always wanted that piece of chocolate or glass of wine... or whatever. But they were a big no no according to the diet plan I currently was on. So, I usually would give into that craving and since "I'm not on a diet…

I always knew I was big but also believed that I'm not "that big". It would hit me when looking at pictures of me and my slim friends - then I could see: "yeah, I'm BIG". It took me long time to sort out my emotional eating but I think I'm on right track now!

Here you go. The reason for your "plateau"?

This. You could try 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels. It will not take more than 35 minutes - including changing to your workout outfit.

To look and feel better (both mentally and physically). There's a lot of benefits of exercise and being able to eat more is one of them. :) Even 30 minutes of exercise 3-4 times a week makes a big difference.

I suppose OP meant weight loss diet...

I no longer "diet". Lifestyle change is too big word for me I think. I still eat what I ate before BUT I watch how much I eat. It's a trade off - in order to lose weight I have to eat less and or exercise more. Since I have history of binge eating - eating less is actualy a good thing for me. I also never was a big fan or…

I've been overweight my entire life. I've never reached my GW because of what you described. I would lose bunch of weight; still not happy about myself, start thinking why bother and start eating (or over eating rather) again. After gaining 10 - 20 pounds, I would look into mirror and think: Oh, **** - I definitely…

I'm 5'3" and 158 pounds. I only eat about 1200 on my no workout days (when I still want to achieve 500 cal deficit). I feel the best at 1400-1500 cal a day: no hunger, no crazy cravings, can look at chocolate without salivation :) I generally try to keep myself at 500 deficit so if my burn for the day is high - I will eat…

Last time I ate pineapple (raw), it had 48 cal in 100g (according to MFP). It wouldn't be a big deal in my opinion - especially if "going over" means going over 1200 cal by 100-200 cal.

I'm finishing 30DS. The results are really great. I didn't lose that much weight (my daily calorie deficit is about 300 on average) but I look so much better! I went to store today and size 10 pants were too big! lol And I'm still 158 pounds at 5'3". I suggest 30DS - I actually did level 1 for 25 days (not every day…

lol I would consider a prison in Norway... http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1989083,00.html

It's simple but not easy.

Try to eliminate cookies and chocolate from your daily menu. It would be a good idea to take your time now to learn how to eat for the rest of your life. Once you hit your goal weight or even go back to work, your calorie burn will drop and it will be hard to stick to your calorie limit if you got used to eating 1000 cal…

My TDEE on a workout day is about 2100 (according to this website). This is exactly what I get using Fitbit and HRM.

I DON'T eat food I don't love or like. No celery sticks for me. As for exercising I do that because it makes me feel better. I have a desk job and spend sitting on my butt 10 hours a day. A little bit of exercising after work is something that I look forward to. I got obese because I had exactly same mind set: getting…

Most of my life, lol. Even as I lose weight, the boob-belly ratio stays the same. Drives me nuts at times. Hope one day I will lose that belly fat for good!

Be careful with what MFP says in terms of calorie burn. According to MFP I'm burning 200 cals when doing level one but my HRT says 150. I think MFP overestimates exercise calories in general.

Well, there are actually breast milk banks so this argument is out. I think as long as you are not lactose intolerant, a little bit of milk shouldn't harm you. If you don't like milk - not drinking it shouldn't be much of a problem from nutritional point of view?

It could be just a bad day. I've been working out regularly for over a month now and even though I've made great progress overall - some days I just feel as I'm about to die. I don't think it's because of the break.

Sorry to hear that :( I've been having mild to heavy anxiety all my life (depends on situation I'm dealing with). Just few months ago I discovered Jamieson "Relax and Sleep" pills. I take 2 pills before going to bed. It helps you calm down and make falling asleep easier. What I noticed is that the following day I'm much…

I eat 3 meals and no snacks in between them. I go for 1400-1500 calories a day and aim at 500 cal. deficit. Between lunch and supper there is about 6 hr break, and between supper and breakfast about 12 hr. I feel so much better eating like this and weight loss seems to be easier to achieve. I also have very little or no…

I got ultra just recently and find sleep tracking quite useful. I struggle to get enough sleep (too busy!) and it's good to get that weekly average from fitbit so I can push myself to go to bed earlier. Also if you are planning on getting zip, mind that it operates on replaceable battery which means more costs down the…

Congratulations! You look awesome. I bet it feels great too!

You will have to do some homework to make sure that you eat enough calories - especially if you're running regularly. I used to eat one (sometimes two) big meal a day and if I was not exceeding calories - I was losing weight. About two months ago, I decided to eat in a healthier way and changed to 5 meals. I felt terrible!…
