I just got back into racing so I don't have much planned (yet) this year, but I'm ready. I just finished a 5K this last weekend, and a 10K in January was the start to my year. Here's what I have planned so far: April: Kansas Half-Marathon June: Dirty Girl Mud-Run Octoberish: Women Opening Doors for Women Run (WOW Run)…

Height: 5'6" Age/Gender: 29 / Female Highest Weight: 242 lbs (Last May) Lowest Weight: 169 lbs (when I was 25) Current Weight: 191 lbs Goal Weight: 140 <--picked because Doc said I needed to lose 100 lbs when I was 242...If I look and feel great before then, I'll stop. If I get there and still look terrible I'll keep going…

That is amazing! Keep it up!

Definitely do the bandana around your mouth. I had blue spit for awhile afterward. If you have a large white poodle, make sure to take them, too. Multi-color dogs are awesome :). I had a blast at mine! Just make sure that you have towels in your car to sit on. You don't want to forget and have pink on your butt at work the…

One thing I wish they would focus on more for the viewers is the diet & nutrition. They focus A LOT on exercise, and it seems the only time they focus on nutrition is when they have a product to endorse. It would be interesting to see what they typically eat in a day and how many calories they are consuming. I know, food…

I pay $76 dollars/month for my gym ($26 gym membership, $50 added on small group training with a personal trainer 10 times a month). I definitely think it's worth it as my gym has SO MUCH to offer!

Kansas!

You can add me! I'm constantly on MFP, and I try to be supportive everyday. I sometimes don't complete my diary because I forget (I log everything in the morning and if I don't add anything else in the evening it slips my mind) but my diary is open to my friends! I also log every bit of exercise I do, and I exercise 6…

Fact: Thinking about going to the gym burns between 0 and 0 calories.

Congrats! I think you'll enjoy it! The adrenaline will be crazy on race-day so make sure you force yourself to start slow. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great!
-
I've added you! Anyone can add me :) I'm on everyday, even the bad ones!

Same here! and I can wiggle my ears :)

Cover the timer with a towel! Time flies when I run outside, but not so much on a treadmill...

Love, Love LOVE step aerobics! I don't do it as much as I would like, as I am training for a half marathon right now. Once that's over, it's going to be like 3x a week for me! My gym does the Les Mills BodyStep (lots of higher/lower options) and can't wait to get back to it!

The one thing that really annoys me is when I'm taking a group class, and I put my stuff in a specific spot to "mark my territory" while I go get equipment/sweat towel/water, and they either crowd me in, or move my stuff. It's very rude. Especially when they see me put my stuff down and walk away. I had set up my bench the…

I had to retire some dress pants that I worked really hard to get into in the first place. Now they are just a little...ok a lot!...too big :) Oh, and I finished my first 10K a week ago. That was probably the most amazing experience, and I never thought I could run 1 mile let alone 6!!!

As many as my trainer tells me to do...no more, usually less :( Whoever invented these evil things has a crappy sense of humor...

I don't treat myself with food, but every 10 lbs I give myself something I want. For instance, when I hit 10 lbs I got a pedicure. At 50lbs, I'm buying myself a gps HRM. When I hit my goal weight, it's allowing myself to get that new car that I want, but don't necessarily need....

Anyone can add me! I love adding new friends :)

I'm in :) ETA: username is the same as MFP : amccoy720

If I'm not on birth control I can go up to 6 months without one! The less I weigh the more regular I become. I actually started birth control when I was 14 because I had gone over a year without one and my mom got worried. ETA: Another one of my friends has PCOS. She's 28 and has NEVER had a period unless she was on birth…

Add me if you like! I try to support others as much as I possibly can! We are all in this together :)

I have the same problem, except they know about my efforts :(. It's my fiancee, his cousin and one of our friends who is down on his luck that we are helping. They buy all sorts of crap from girl scout cookies to twizzlers to fast food for themselves. We have an unspoken rule in this house that if you bring it in, it's…

Me!! I'm training for my first half currently. I've only done 4-5Ks, and have another one scheduled for March. Its my "meditation" time :)

I log in the mornings after I have packed my lunch and snacks for the day. I usually leave dinner blank unless I know what I'm eating (like leftovers). This helps me because I don't want to have to log back in, so I don't eat that late night snack, or that piece of cake in the kitchen at work!

Congrats on your weight loss! I don't usually stick to my resolutions, so I stopped making them. The day I decided to start my journey was the day the doctor called me and told me I had a fatty liver and needed to lose weight...pronto. That scared the living daylights out of me. I changed my lifestyle the next morning.

I actually joined my gym in April of last year. I'm just saying that anytime I hear a success story, it usually doesn't begin with "my new year's resolution last year..." but instead begins with an event that changed someone's life. Someone shouldn't choose to get in shape simply because of the time of year, where's the…

If you take them, you don't have to sit there and stare at them to make yourself go crazy. Just take them, and put them away for future reference. It's hard to see a change in the mirror day to day (I personally can't tell the difference between now and 40 pounds ago). Giving yourself a comparison is the greatest motivator…
