If anything, save it for a day where you have extra calories that you can consume. I do that with small amounts of chocolate if I have some room to wiggle with my food intake.

That looks so good!!!

For me, when I drink any type of soda, diet or regular, I feel very bloated afterwards but I also find myself craving more of it because of one of the additives. I try and avoid it if I can but I am guilty of it, especially lately. I have decided that since I am working on saving money for a trip to Australia, I am going…

I usually have one a day if that. I still have it with milk and sweetener but the calorie intake is still too high. I just don't do well without it. lol

I have made a concerted effort over the last two days to make sure I eat better and I am feeling so much better for it. Now I just need to work on getting the exercise in.

Skinnymalinky (I think I spelled it right) See, reading the way you have described your room makes me realize that another part of this is that my room is a mess. It's chaotic because I have a hard time staying organized. It's also in a color that I hate but haven't had time to paint over. It's not as calming. Other parts…

I just need to know my triggers - for me its stress. And lack of sleep, that normally gets me emotional and leads to me sabotaging. I push myself to a breaking point sometimes and its not good for me physically or emotionally, but I always tell myself, I need the money to pay the bills or to pay rent and push through. The…

You've got to shake things up a bit when it comes to diet and exercise. If you do the same routine each day your body gets used to it and it plateaus. Try and do something different - try adding light weights and other forms of cardio to your routine to shock your body a little. I have been there and its hard but you can…

For me it was not coming to terms with past trauma, a really bad break up with my first boyfriend and just emotional eating in general. And when I emotionally eat, it is never healthy.

The major challenge I have is trying to plan my meals out. My shifts rotate from days, to evenings, to overnights and trying to find time in between is hard. I never feel like working out on my days off because I either try and spend it with friends or family whom I don't see very often or I just want to veg out…

Mostly eyeshadows, eye pencils and mascara. I don't wear all that much make up so its bare minimum.

As someone who works three jobs and irregular, all over the place shifts, I can identify with feeling like I don't know how I am going to manage to lose weight when I'm constantly go, go go. I'm learning that it takes planning and prepacking foods or meals and having small healthy snacks. It also helps to have a good…

Macaroni and Cheese. When I make it I mix in jalapeno havarti and its so good. So not good for me, but as a treat meal every once in a while.

Feel free to add me to. When I first started I had a lot of pain in certain joints and I found it harder to stick to a meal plan. I did it, but I had my days where I would have a cheat meal every now and then. Once you start seeing the results though, it just pushes you to want to see more. Good luck!!

I keep my diary open to friends on here. I joined this site as a way to connect with a friend of mine who is also trying to lose weight and get healthy, so that we could support each other. I personally like having an open diary and feedback. I haven't had any bad experiences with it yet.

Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha or the chocolate bar Coffee Crisp.

I use positive affirmations.

I was an emotional eater for years. After my first break up? I ate. And ate, and ate. I also wasn't exercising. I have gone back and forth with weight loss and working out for years, but it was only recently that something stuck. At the time, I didn't have a lot of self worth. I wanted to avoid getting hurt. Heck, I wanted…

UncleMac :) I guess my phrasing came out wrong lol either that or I was tired. Would love to add you if you wanted. I am going to try and add more people from here. I am happy to see all my fellow Canadians on here!

I love your final line on here, specifically, 'I want a new normal'. That really resonated with me, as I want a new normal too because for the last 14 years I have been overweight. I am happy to see you start and I look forward to watching your progress. Feel free to add me if you need advice or encouragement.

I cut down on pasta's. When I do eat them, I eat wholewheat. Pasta for me though is a huge trigger food, so I try and avoid it if I can. Soda is definitely another one, chocolate bars......I was a junk food queen. It's been tough, but it is doable.

I am in a similar position at the moment when it comes to the busy schedule. I work 3-5 days a week at one job, once a week at a second job and two days a week for the third job. It's challenging and I often find I am unenergetic by the end of the day, but I need to get back on track with it as well. I wish you luck and I…
