Those videos are just the worst, aren't they?

I know this is an old post, but it's showing up in my recent post section. So, in the event it's still active... I've tried to do this program twice, both times through work at a hospital. it was free both times. And both times I tried to do it, I couldn't make it through the first few weeks. The concepts are not that…

I sauté mushrooms, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and whatever vegetables I have in butter. Sometimes I add frozen (peeled, deveined and raw) shrimp. Sometimes chicken (pre cooked or raw). When all of that is close to being done, I add In the cauliflower, season with garlic, crushed red pepper, salt and pepper. Cook until its…

I do air popped pop corn (a big bowl. because why not....). I melt slightly less than 1 tablespoon of butter and then mix in seasonings and spices until its almost a paste....garlic powder, sriracha, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper...whatever I'm feeling and then toss it in droplets into the popcorn and shake it up. it's…

Cellulite doesn't have anything to do with your muscles - not really, anyway. It's a skin/fat thing. Toning the muscle will make it appear more smooth than having a less toned muscle underneath of it, but it sort of is what it is, you know? If you lose weight, you lose fat, and that may help with it - if you are already at…

You absolutely can!! I'm 5'5 and I hover between 180 and 190 lbs, down from about 227 or so, and mostly happy here. I'd not mind getting closer to 175, but this is fine. I'm a pretty solid size 14, which was the original goal, and I've mostly maintained it for the last 3 years. I, like another poster, can run reasonable…

Yep. Another vote for Jillian. I love the Kickbox Fast Fix (though I know a lot of people don't) and Ripped in 30. Each workout is 20-25 minutes long, so I will do two or three at a time usually...unless I'm really in a time crunch. I also have the JM Hard Body DVD, which is a 45 minute workout (actually two of them). I…

I'm with everybody else - I'd hardly consider that slow. I have friends who are new runners who run 14 minute miles. I remember being pumped when I started running 12 minute miles regularly. Longer (4-13 miles) I tend to hover around 11 minute miles and I'm pretty proud of that, 5k pace is more like high8s/9min miles,…

I'm an "Intermediate" runner, probably. I can run a half marathon, but i'm not fast. If I run by myself, a comfortable pace is about an 11 minute mile. If I run with people, I'm in the 10 1/2 minute mile range...and one time I ran a 5k with 9:27 miles. Point of that is...you're probably CAPABLE of running an awful lot…

Wallet chains. Don't ask me why...I don't have an answer for that. Believe me, I've tried to figure it out. :)

I've tried every bit of repositioning of the heart rate monitor. Higher, lower, tighter, looser, super wet, less wet, dry, saliva, water, upside down, right side up...and new batteries. It's kind of a lost cause, I think. I think I just need a new one. Honestly, I don't think that the MFP numbers are probably super off how…

I actually think the black dress looks more flashy than the other!! Love the black. Go with that one.

LOVE SILVERS!!! I do not love the "plus" sized silvers (they come in actual sizes, not inches) - they are awful. But the "juniors" sizes are great. they go up to a 36 inch waist and are available in a gajillion styles. I'm 30 and definitely have a post baby belly (even though my baby is 4!) complete with a csection pooch.…

Maybe you need a new scale - that looks like MUCH more than a 5 lb loss!!! Funny how differently everybody looks at different (or very similar weights!!) You look fantastic!!!! Keep those pictures in your purse and look at them all of the time - you've done great!

No problem...this stuff works so differently for everybody - but as long as you do in a way that's healthy and possible to maintain, you're all good. :)

Maybe this works for you (and if it does, awesome), but just know that this is NOT how MFP is set up. If you've set up your profile correctly, MFP already created a calorie deficit for you...that's why you eat those exercise calories back. A quick assignment for you...google "calories to lose weight" or something similar.…

My experience with belly skin is....it doesn't go away. I'm a curvy girl and I plan to stay that way, so even though I'm still in the 180s, my goal weight isn't very far away (175). When I look in the mirror now...40 some pounds down (that's nearly 80 lbs down from pregnancy 4 years ago)...I'm pretty happy with everything.…

Have you tried cauliflower "rice"? You can make a pretty delcious "stir fry" for minimal calories. You just chop up cauliflower in a food processor until it's about the size of race grains. I do this for work all the time - 1 cup cauliflower "rice", broccoli, mushrooms a splash of soy sauce, a bit of peanut butter (or PB2)…

I've been going for about 2 months, usually once a week, twice if my schedule allows it. I've had the DVD set for about 18 months also, i prior to starting classes (none were available for a long time!), i did the DVDs about 3 times weekly. Since finding a good Zumba class, I've tried using the DVDS again and ugh...SO…
