The toxins that store in your body, generally store in fat. So, losing weight will help you detoxify your body. I drink a liter of water when I get up usually. Not to detox, but because it is good to stay hydrated, and morning time is the worst time for hydration. I drink a ton of water though.

It gives me horrid reflux… so painful!! I pretended not to know after I found out for quite a while, but finally faced the fact. I love bread and pasta and good beer. So it is limited now. Low calorie tortillas and corn tortillas are my regular bread now.

Not gluten free, but I limit it extremely. I am allergic to it. I rarely eat bread, pasta, drink beer any longer. I usually use wraps for lunch, but those can be avoided and the contents placed in a bowl for microwaving. Also, I will cook large meals and portion them into lunches and freeze them. Nice! I don't consider it cheating. I don't really limit many foods, only portion sizes. I do try to eat healthier, but I will have what I want. I limit my red meat, partly for fat content, partly for budget. When I start hunting next season, red meat will be a menu mainstay, though ;-) Can't get cleaner that 100% organic…

No, but the heart functions better on ketones.

If you go very low carb you will go into ketosis, and then you will use fat for energy as opposed to using carbs for energy. Your heart likes ketones for energy better than it likes carbs for energy.

I am a definite coffee lover (though I stopped drinking it last week due to indigestion) and that is why I buy really good coffee and drink it black. Medium roast is best to get the flavour of the different beans!!

It tastes bad, just an fyi. I would go for a full on smoothie, especially if you froze it. It will not "blend" well with a liquid unless you have a super blender that cost a ton of $$$.

That www you linked to is not quite correct. I know for a fact that aloe heals wounds. It also is healing to the digestive tract. Surgical wounds are where you must refrain from aloe use, as in such deep wounds it could cause the healing process to alter.
