The HRM is probably closer. When you put it into MFP create your own exercise. Call it something like "walking HRM", unless your using MFP to keep track of more details like how fast and far you went. I would recommend using another app for that level of detail or whatever software is recommended by Polar to log the…

My guess is they round down. They will get in trouble for claiming more than it has so my assumption is labels are low.

Check your scale with a known weight. Weigh it a couple times to see if your scale is consistent.

Going to add this to my workout mix, thanks! I'm always looking for new tunes.

Kickboxing or pretty much any group fitness class. Racquetball is my current favorite workout.

You can certainly build up your fitness and endurance. You will want to resume your running outdoors when the weather warms up. An elliptical or even a treadmill is not the same as running 5k outdoors.

Some people say this will work. Because calories in < calories out = weight loss. It doesn't work for me. I can eat a large bag of chips and still be hungry. I eat a cup of broccoli or grapes and I'm full for hours. So healthy foods make me feel full. Junk food leaves me hungry.

Your body does not need cleansing. How is this going for you? Are you miserable on the liquid days? How long have you been doing it? Will you be able to keep it up the rest of your life?
-
Don't do it. Your profile says you want to be a healthy model for your children. What do you think would happen if they follow you on this?

You might want to take a look at your goals and set reasonable ones. Everyone in this thread is trying to be super supportive of you and i get that. But if your aiming to lose 50 lbs by your birthday in March you may want to reassess and set a more reasonable goal.

Your among good company here. The best advice I have read learned - calories in < calories out = weight loss Stay away from pills and fad diets. Weight loss is 100% diet. Exercise can help by increasing your calories out but you can't out exercise a bad diet. I have no scientific evidence to back it up and others will…

Depending on where your at there is plenty of great exercise to be had indoors. My current favorite is racquetball. That is a great workout.

Remove yourself from the situation. That's easy for me to say because hanging out in a bar was never my idea of fun.

An occasional week off isn't going to hurt. Depending on the intensity of your training a rest week can be good.

Men want to see their wives naked. I'm pretty sure it's a biological law. If you deny your man this he will look elsewhere.

Check out craigslist or area thrift shops for weights. I wish I had room for a power rack. I've seen a few for sale for cheap on craigslist.

It's the next logical step. To converge PC's and phones. Microsoft is already headed that direction with windows 8. It's the only reason their mobile phones will even have a chance after so many failed attempts at mobile operating systems. Will Ubuntu make it on the phone? I doubt it. I'm sure it will have some niche of…

I'm a constant eater. Trying to make healhy choices.

"If you run you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty year. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run." -John Bingham

This is a constantly reoccurring topic. It's usually posted by someone new to the site with few posts. They ask the question and then get upset when people tell them it's not that difficult to up good calories without constant eating. Though usually it's someone on 1200 cal a day complaining they can't get to 1000.

Undereating will slow your weight loss and it's not sustainable. In the long run it will end up hurting more than helping. You should be aiming to eat your goal not trying to eat the least that you can. An occasional under day isn't going to hurt but trying to be 100's under every day is bad.

I was recording them for a while. When i hit the 5 week mark I was actually below what the predictions said. I suspect as I am getting closer to goal that 5 weeks from now will I will not be below the predictions. I think it's a great tool, it's telling you if you ate (and exercised) every day like today your calculated…

A blender will do the job but this does it so much better- http://www.amazon.com/Yonanas-902-Cream-Treat-Silver/dp/B005083ECS My wife bought me one for Christmas because my sister in law liked hers so much. The kids have been begging for it every day since.

No it is that simple. Calories in < calories out = weight loss It's not that simple to do but weight loss is that simple.
-
Then stop eating so much. It's that simple. Don't go the other extreme and try to go on a ultra low calorie diet. Figure out what it would take to lose one pound a week and make that your goal. Your first post says every time you do really good you mess it up. My guess is that your trying to go crazy low calorie and lose…

Can't spot remove. You can try working harder but you may just be stuck with genetics.

7 1/2 years ago I gave up soda. I went cold turkey. I went from drinking 64-80+ oz a day to none. Since then I've had no more than a couple sips like when picking up the wrong Mcdonalds cup and it tasted awefull. I had to quit that way. I don't think any other way would have worked.
