Not with the treadmill, but I experienced the same thing on the elliptical after doing it regularly for about 2 months....it was horrible and nothing fixed it aside from stopping the elliptical. As for losing weight fixing the issue, I wish I could tell you!

I actually kind of think Paleo is stupid, too.... it sounds plausible on the surface, but why ignore 10,000 years of human intellect for pseudo-scientific speculation on what our ancestors ate? Never-mind the fact that our ancestors likely had entirely different digestive fauna than a modern human. In other words, I'd like…

I never had any trouble with the Zen Labs one.... although I might have been using the pro version and that might make a difference? I don't remember. I also haven't used it since upgrading to iOS7...

It's about impossible to argue someone into the truth if they've made up their opinion already. The best you can hope for is to toss them a few kernels of valid information and hope that it causes them to start thinking critically. People are more apt to believe something if they think they came up with the idea. So…

.... and oh man.... those stupid "fitness" shoes that are unstable so that you supposedly use more of your leg muscles. The lengths people will go to not exercise.

^this. Go slow... the constant switching between running and walking is deceptively difficult. Once it switches to long runs with little if/any walking (weeks 5-8), it gets way easier.
-
I'm sad that I even know what episode of what show that is.
-
Remember, just because the program is split into 8 weeks doesn't mean that you can't repeat tough weeks before moving on. I repeated week 2 twice before moving on and it made things a lot easier moving forward. Just get through week 5 and you're good to go.

Not discriminating against obese people should be second nature. That being said, rather than shaming obese people into exercising, we should praise people who are willing to keep themselves in shape and eat well.

I've never noticed fast food adversely affecting my efforts... sure it's not the ideal way to go, but if you pay attention to the calories, you can have fast food and still lose weight.

I've done 20lbs in 3 months easily when just starting out, but that was going from like 250 to 230... which may be far different than going 180 to 160, even so, I think you could give a pretty good effort and make significant progress, if not get the whole 20.

I had excruciating sciatic nerve pain from doing the elliptical daily for about 2 months. It cleared up within 2 weeks when I stopped. I've not tried to do the elliptical since, but the pain hasn't come back from any other forms of exercising.

My partner bought a book for that, she never convinced me to try it though. Pretty much any diet with an associated book is crap.

Pointing out logical fallacies in debates is not derailing the discussion. And your argument: off? But don't take my word for it: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2271108/ http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2012/may/14/dangers-chiropractic-treatment-under-reported…

I'm just going to agree to disagree, I'm not going to convince you of anything.

I'm no doctor, just a believer in science-based medicine. You can't simply make up treatments without having a scientific basis for the treatment, evidence, and passing through rigorous clinical trials. Chiropractors have none of the above, just a well developed imagination.
-
Oh jeez... I think I'm getting dragged into this stupid chiropractor thread.... I need to back away from the keyboard.
-
Chiropractic school is balony. I don't care if you train for 20 years to be a chiropractor, just because you are an expert in nonsense does not make it any less nonsense. Do you not think that "adjusting" your muscular-skeletal system would be something that is more suited to a trained and licensed orthopedic doctor?…

Anything funded by Oprah, for that matter. She's the queen of the woo.... Dr. Oz is a mere pawn.

Lets get this thing going again.... I need more skeptical friends on here.
