I've used c25k a couple times to get up to running a 5k. Its a great program... just get through week 5 and you'll be good to go, weeks 4 and 5 are pretty brutal if you're not used to running.

I can relate. 2 years ago I started C25k for the first time, not having run for like 15 years, since I was in college. Since then I've run (literally) hundreds of miles as well as a few 5k races. I'm still not a good runner, and I still don't *enjoy* it, but it makes me feel healthier. I hope you find the motivation and…

Wow, well that was a pick-me-up. I felt like this week was bad because I am a little higher today than I was earlier this week. It turns out I actually lost another 1.2 lbs this week. I'll take it!

Yup.... just hanging out at home. Did have a wild night at the grocery store earlier.

Definitely C25k. Done it twice and its a great way to get in shape enough to run a 5k. Its not "easy" but after you get past week 4 or so, its smooth sailing. I actually think that it gets much easier once you get past the interval training and start running without walking in-between.

Best of luck... 20 lbs by summer is a very realistic goal, if you stick with it, you will get there.

Almost done with my second Sobuary.... Not really all that interested in drinking, but its kind of hard to have any social life without alcohol involved to some degree. We'll see how things go from here...
