As often as you can deal with mentally.... I weigh every day, because a bad weigh in is not a big deal to me.... but if its going to ruin you, then weigh in once a week or once a month.

I started going to concerts a lot in the late 90s/early 2000s.... there's so much bad rock during that time that its hard to count how many bad concerts I went to.

Take a night and go down to old vegas.... its dirty and old, but worth the bus ride... imo. Also don't miss out on Bobby's Flay's Mesa Grill at Casear's... Oh.... and Marc Savard's hypnotism show.... awesome... be sure to volunteer.

I always make sure to just take my lunch and no snacks or money for the vending machine.... that keeps me from snacking for the most part, unless I find free food somewhere, then I get in trouble.

Thats an interesting article.... reinforces the "lifestyle" mentality.... if you want to be thin, you can never quit watching what you eat. Its a tough decision.

I really like weighing every day... gives me something to look forward to..... and if its a bit higher, you can just shrug it off and figure its just a bad day.

I avoid it depending on company, only because of the social stigma... otherwise the crusade against "swearing" is a bunch of moral majority nonsense.

Eating garbage is not *living*.... you can do it if you consider it important to your lifestyle, but human beings were not designed to intake 3000+ calories a day. The consequence is gaining weight... you need to decide which is more important, being healthy or eating what you want to eat.

Yeah, it took me a long time to feel thinner, myself.... and when I've gained a bunch of it back.... it took a while before I realized what I was doing.

Good luck..... this web site has given many people great success.... if you stick with it, great things can happen. Its a slow process, but there's no reason to rush, right?

A lot of times its hard for people close to you to deal with changes, because they think likely they'll have to undergo them as well, even if that isn't true. As long as its a little harmless ribbing, its probably not worth a fight... :)

I cut back when I'm trying to lose.... but not drinking at all is no way to live. I'll usually give myself a free night to drink socially at least once a week... and might drink a couple during the rest of the week as long as they fit under my goals. Pretty much any light beer can be fit into a diet once in a while.
