  • I am sorry your family is not supportive. I am not sure if you can change the portion sizes so instead of the whole burger you eat half. Making small adjustments might help you along the way. As for the other family member, some people should just shut up, (sorry to be blunt) sometimes these people are so negative in…
  • Hi there A couple of my tactics.... Plan what you will eat before you go and don't look at the menu when you get there. or Tell the server when the meal comes to bring a take out container...split it in half before you even take the first bit. ENJOY YOUR EVENING !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love the hot yoga. I am not sure how to track it. Bring a towel and I took two bottles of water with me. After the class I feel so refreshed and engerized. It totally flushes everything out of your body. If you can focus you mind in the class it will be the best experience. ENJOY !!!!!
  • Hi there I have been to several gyms. I started bringing my daughter when she was about 2 and she was fine. When I had my son I joined Goodlife and he was about 6 weeks old. I felt confident with the worker and he did great and I did well too. You have to decide what you are comfortable with.
  • Do it one day at a time. I try and plan my meals for the week ahead. This way there is less chance of falling off the course. I do allow a "Cheat" meal a week so that I don't feel overwhelmed or deprived. I have started back at the gym this helps with the stress factor in y life. I have a husband two kids work full time…

  • I did. It did work, now that was some time ago. I had already lost 60 pounds and was eating well and working out everyday and I started it and it helped me lost the last 20 pounds or so and it was a still a lifestyle change I kept it up for six months (until I got pregnant) . This was about 7 years ago. The first two weeks…
  • Why not look. I like to get ideas on what others are eating. If they don't want you to look it would be blocked. I am not obessed by it just curious at times especially if they are dropping quickly. The journal is only as good or as honest as you are.
  • HI there I track the sodium. It is good to be mindful of the levels of sodium in some foods. Sometimes if you are feeling bloated you can see what items you have been eating with high sodium and either remove them or reduce the intake of them.
  • 1/2 sweet potato - 1 cup of brocoli and 4 oz of grilled chicken breast...mmmmm. Love it.
  • First - do not beat your self up. (Easier said then done...I know) Just get back on the wagon. I will say when I am healthier - making better food choices like cooking my meal eating my fruit and veggies, I crave less when I am PMSing. Getting the yucky stuff out of the body helps you crave it less I fine. I will allow…
  • Hi there I have a bean recipe. It has a can of mixed beans drained (I am sure you can use whatever beans you want) about 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat pasta, dijion mustard (1 tsp); about 1/4 cup of red wine vinegar; 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil; one tomato chopped and 1/2 a cucumber; some salt pepper; basil oregano…

  • Hoping 2013 will be a better year. I will need to focus more and hope to get motivation from adding some friends from MFP who are going through some similar struggles. Please feel free to add. Accountability is what I need too.
