I have a Garmin Forerunner 110 with HRM that I got on amazon for like $150. I think it's been worth the investment.

Similar to this, I've seen "don't quit until you're proud". That's what I always think when I'm feeling discouraged: would I be proud if I quit right now? And the answer is always NO!

Today was my first day! I've always suffered from shin splints in the past, so yesterday I went to a local running store and got fitted for proper shoes (even though I was so nervous I would feel really out of place there). I must say, it was really difficult completing W1D1, but I did it! I was wearing my Garmin, so I was…

I imagine you're overestimating how many calories you are burning. What are you using to determine those numbers? Do you weigh all your food?

I would easily believe all of them but the hips. Are you sure you were measuring the exact same spot?
-
Yes! I measured out a serving of nuts the other day and my daughter tried to take one out of my bowl- I had to tell her to go get her own!

Awesome! I think at this point, you owe it to yourself to see how you feel at a "healthy" weight. I've only got about 11 more pounds until I go from obese to overweight, and I'm so excited! Thanks for the inspiration!

When my wedding & engagement rings became so tight that they hurt and I hadn't been able to get them off for over a month. I was terrified that I'd have to go get my gorgeous rings cut off my finger because I had gotten too fat. I'm happy to say I can now get them on and off with ease! What has kept me motivated is that…

I used WW years ago, but I did it online, so I can't speak to the level of motivation one receives from meetings. Strictly in terms of the apps/ program, MFP wins out big time. First of all, it is so much easier to find the nutritional information you need on MFP because their database (due to users sharing info) is so…

It depends on so many things: how tall you are, your body shape, what size clothes you wear (there is larger discrepancy between sizes the larger you get), how tight your old clothes were, etc. For example, I'm 5'10" and have lost 30 lbs. but I can still wear all my old clothes.

I've been making "pancakes" the last couple days using one ripe mashed banana, 1/2 cup liquid egg whites, and 1/2 cup oatmeal. Mix together and cook just like a pancake. I spread a little almond butter on top of mine while they're still hot- yum!

Both times I've nursed, I could've probably eaten 2500 cals/ day and still felt like I was starving. Especially when my kids were young and nursing every 1.5-2 hours, I could not keep up with my hunger! I also had problems cutting calories when I nursed because my supply would take a huge nosedive. Maybe try upping your…

I always assumed people who said "big boned" meant "larger frame". I'm 5'10", and even at my thinnest I still have broad shoulders and hips. Surely we can agree that people have different sized frames?

I'm 5'10" and my goal is 170. Ultimately, I would love to see if I could get down to 153 (which would equal a 100 lb. loss) but I think I would be perfectly happy maintaining at 170.

I limit myself to one tablespoon of Natural Bliss Sweet Cream per day, and I have no intention of ever giving it up!

The perfect pair of designer jeans. Shorts! I have a pair or two but they don't look good or fit well. A couple Hanky Panky thongs.
