Any calorie monitor is only as accurate as the information and more importantly, the information allowed to be fed into it. The ones at my gym ask you your weight and that's it! Not very accurate at all, you really need one that asks for your weight, height, age and if possible Vo2 max to have a fighting chance at being…

Bodyweight squats with a rucksack on her back, filled with progressively heavier stuff, one bag of sugar, two bags of sugar and so on. That'll only get you so far, then it'll be time to move onto a harder modification, single leg squats or split squats and then use the increasingly weighted rucksack routine again. You…

You do cardio for cardiovascular fitness. You lose/maintain/gain weight by eating below/at/above the amount of calories you burn throughout the whole day.
-
Beginner routine? That's an advanced split routine, not to mention you've failed to include any actual exercises to help the OP.
-
Honestly, you already have all the necessary equipment you'll ever need. Your own body!! Press ups, pull ups, split squats, rows can all be done using no fancy extra equipment, just your own bodyweight and things you already have around the house.

The above is one of the best, unbiased, most thoughtful, incisive and helpful posts I have ever seen here. Sometimes as post doesn't need a reply other than one to agree with it.

Are you wanting to exercise to aid in your weight loss or try and improve your cardiovascular fitness?

Judging by the OP's ticker, they're here to try and lose weight. So why try and justify sabotaging yourself? I've seen people here ask if they should log standing, I kid you not!! You log exercise activities. Doing the cleaning has never and will never be classified as "exercise" All you're doing is trying to fool yourself…

Muscle confusion as is promoted by some people is utter bo**ox! You keep the muscles "confused" by increasing the intensity/volume of your routine. There is absolutely no need to keep changing up a routine every magic number of weeks. Now changing up routines to compete with boredom and getting fed up of doing the same…

You're not gonna get "bulky" unless you're consuming more calories than you're burning throughout the whole day. So keep doing your kettlebell workouts as you sound like you really enjoy them. Good luck!

Some highly impressive numbers there. I average around the same 30,000 steps a day too on work days and certainly know I've walked them. On non work days I always strive to get at least 10,000 steps done as a bare minimum. What are you doing to get such impressive numbers? As 30,000 is over 15 miles for me and that's a lot…

Definitely definitely get someone to show you correct form and watch you while to attempt it to correct any errors. YouTube too so you have an idea how the moves are supposed to be performed so you'll know if whomever is giving you advice knows what they're talking about. It's a shame but just because someone is an alleged…

You should try the app or book called "You Are Your Own Gym" No gym membership, no equipment and no limits. If you can't do a press up or a pull up this will show you where to start and how to progress. All without the hassle of using weights.

Burpees!

You could always be a little naughty and "download" some of the Beach Body DVD workouts like Insanity or P90x

Lunges, step ups, plus the numerous variations of squats you can do other than the normal back barbell squat.

Have a look on Youtube at different routes you can take. There's the obvious free weights route and the much maligned machines, but don't forget about Kettlebell resistance training, resistance band training and bodyweight training. Don't narrow your options before having a look at alternatives first. You shouldn't dismiss…

Does such a thing as a specialist running shop exist in the UK? All we have in town is a Sports Direct and looking at the staff there I'm not overly inclined to seek advice that could potentially lead to an injury.

No routine or exercise will help you lose weight unless you're eating less calories than you're burning. You should though, hopefully, have at least one free session with a trainer there who can ask you what your goals are and tailor a routine just for you.

To be strict and slightly pedantic. He is using weight, his own bodyweight! Once you actually look into it properly and delve deeper than the normal uninformed "press ups and crunches" view most have, you'll find bodyweight training has plethora of different exercises for every skill or strength level. Have a look at…

A somewhat bizarre suggestion but it should work, providing you have a car. Take your seat belt and drag it out of your car by a foot or two. Then slam the door shut, trapping the belt securely and giving you something to hold onto whilst doing your exercise. This could also work using a door in your house if they shut…

My thoughts exactly! You already own all the equipment you'll ever need, your own body.

We made something similar this morning. 200g or thereabouts of egg whites one banana one scoop vanilla protein powder mixed up, fired off and then topped with chocolate orange nutella spread. Heavenly!

Literally! That word is so overused and worse still, nearly always used wrongly. People use it to try and put emphasis on a statement, yet sound like idiots when they use it without knowing what it actually means and when it should and shouldn't be used.

Try gradually adding increasing weight whilst doing your knee push ups. Have someone push down on you slightly to add resistance or a rucksack filled with everyday household items.

Shopping bags, rucksacks even handbags can be filled with heavy things and lifted. Two cans of soup one week, four the next, or bags of flour. Endless solutions.

Were you standing before you decided to lose weight? What next? Can I log calories burned from brushing my teeth or maybe I should log waving when trying to catch a bus.

Does your machine have adjustable resistance? Yours is probably set too high if you can only manage 4 minutes.
