I know how you feel. When I was going through my divorce, I gained 40 lbs due to emotional eating (that 40 was only the beginning). It was like I went insane for two years of my life. I went from being obsessively fit and active to being a couch potato. My pretty muscles were gone, I had swelled out of my clothes and I ate…

Wow. I've had 30DS for months and haven't tried it. I'm going to start tonight. Thanks for the inspiration.

I've been where you are. I made the change, believe it or not, by doing more work. I volunteered for subcommittees and fact-finding groups, I attended every institutional party to which I was invited. I attended training sessions and chatted with the people at my table. I made an effort to be cordial to senior…

Clean Eating Magazine really should reward me for the number of times I mention them on this site. It's my go-to source for healthy, family friendly recipes. It's especially well suited for healthy meal resistent family members, because you're offering them cleaned up versions of things they already recognize and enjoy.…

I get that a lot too because I'm actually fairly athletic for my size. The most recent was on a shuttle to a 25 mile bike ride. A group of skinny heifers had a big laugh at my expense. I didn't handle it as well as you did. Although I enjoyed a quiet celebration when I breezed by them on my bike, I still emotionally ate…

Lori is weak and she makes terrible decisions that affect her entire group. Where is the woman's survival instinct? If I'm living in an apocalypse of any kind (doesn't have to be zombies) the very last thing I would do is have unprotected sex. Why? Because a pregnancy in that situation makes me a liability. I'm slow. I…

Lori's sad, and I think that's great. Carl is less of a liability, but he has a lot to make up for in my eyes. Michonne rocks. I can't wait to see more of her. And Daryl ... well, Daryl is always cool to see.

The early morning meetings throw me off too. The best laid plans of mice and men ... right? Here's what I do: I take the time to plan when I know my job is going to interfere with my fitness goals. One of the things I do is plan either an evening workout or, if that's not an option, I make sure to take a walk during my…

- Are you different online vs offline? Yes. I'm more myself online. In real time, I'm pretty shy with strangers and prone to long silences. People who meet me in person first are often surprised to discover that I'm an adrenaline junkie with many of the adventures on my bucket list already crossed off. - Are other people…

I run with a small fanny pack I bought at a local running store. It's just big enough for my smart phone and keys and ID.

There are much better erotica writers out there. I thought 50 Shades was weak, unimaginative and too redundant to be sexy.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is…

I agree with this. I actually have a strong preference for cold weather running. I'm most comfortable wearing layers. In the deep winter months, I go with a long sleeve running shirt, a light running jacket and a fleece vest. Remember to wear a hat, especially if it's below freezing. Trust me, you would rather have sweat…

^^This... I hate the gym. I loathe every moment I'm there, but I love swimming and cycling, and climbing to high places then jumping off. A lot of my exercise comes from swimming, biking and indoor rock climbing. There has to be something you like. Try a bunch of things and make it fun, but you'll be so sorry if you quit.

I keep it simple. I like them baked whole with plain Greek yogurt and chives. Sounds strange, but the flavor combination is great.

Ditto this.

My opinion is unpopular, but I feel that we could make better use of the violent, recidivist criminals that we all support with our tax dollars, by using them for testing. I'm not talking about the poor idiots who screwed up once or twice and still have a shot at rejoining society. I mean the total freaks of nature who do…

That sounds like a sweet gig. Let's start a business. We can be partners.

1, How long did you plan? About a year. 2. How much did you spend? (sorry if that's personal) Was this more/less than you planned? I pulled it in for just under 5K 3. How many people were invited/ how many showed up? Invited = 75, Showed up = 100 4. What did you give out for favors (if you had them)? Miniature bottles of…

OMG. I can't believe I'm telling you all this, but I ate 6 large cupcakes in one sitting. It was enough fat and calories for three days.

I feel like Clean Eating Magazine should pay me for the number of times I've mentioned it on MFP. Still, they produce and annual list of the cleanest food items/brands in the supermarket. You can find it here: http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Marketplace/Foodie-File.aspx?page=2

What a great dad. Good luck. Work hard. When you reach your goal, be sure to celebrate with a victory lap.

I miss my muumuus. They were so comfortable, but they looked better 30 pounds ago. Now, I can't find one that fits right.

Easy one. Scarlet Witch. Everyone is wise to live in fear.

This is my favorite. Less than 400 cals for the entire meal. You will definitely be full after this. http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Recipe/Cajun-Catfish-Po-Boy-Cooling-Vegetable-Salad-.aspx If you like shellfish, this recipe is really good too, and kids will eat it.…

I'm a New Yorker, and I'm paranoid. I want you to keep safe. If I was determined to run at that hour, I would first check to see if there was a running club that had group runs then. If that didn't pan out, I would plan the best lit route, preferably one with a police presence. I would make a point of greeting the cops and…

It means that a person's true power is born of one's ability know and to take control of himself/herself. If you can't respect you, nobody else will. If you can't make yourself do things that are in your own best interest, nobody else is going to do what you want either. Our ability to lead others is directly linked to our…

This one changed me: "Self mastery is the quality of a king. Be vigilant in your control over the self. If you cannot respond to your will, how can you expect others to respond?" ~from Sanskrit Vedas translated by Drew Lawrence
