  • If its the first week or even the second, I wouldnt worry at al, our bodies tend to do that- lose quickly in the beginning, some or most of it may be water weight, and its kind of the body's way of flushing out a lot of garbage since we are eating heathier.
  • I think its fine- as long as you stay within the range that you want to. I know for me, if Idont eat any juny stuff, I crave it and end up binging and overdoing it. if I feel deprived, then I know i'll overdo it, so i try to give myself what I want in moderation. Usually works. Good luck!
  • Way To GO!!! :flowerforyou:

I love this site as there are so many different people at all kinds of weight ranges and sharing struggles that I feel like I can always come here for support and SO much motivation!! • So I just started getting "serious" about drinking more water a few days ago- and I'm also trying really hard to cut back on my sodium intake. So I am I so freakishly thirsty? For the first time in MONTHS, I am actually drinking water, enough water, that is and I'm parched! Only been a couple of days like this, so I doubt…
  • I think we've all had days like that. I know I certainly do!! What I usually do is take some time out to do something I really like doing- whether it be a movie, favorite TV show, bubble bath, crossword puzzle, good book, whatever you like to do- Treat yourself if only for an hour or so. If you want to go 'hide' in bed and…
  • That's an awesome start!! Way To Go!! :flowerforyou:
  • I've heard in the past that drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces is great for weight loss ( I heard this through Weight Watchers) I tried it and it really did make a big difference. Now actually getting back into that habit is a whole 'nother battle! So how much do you drink?
  • :flowerforyou: I am SOOOO with you on this one honey!! I've lost 45 lbs and I can see a big difference in my clothes, and me all around- but get a photo or video of me and I not only add those 45 lbs, but another 50!! i still look horrible in photos. But its ok. One of these days we're going to love the camera and what it…
  • I just want to point out that people should keep in mind there are literally thousands of different diet myths, "facts", practices, ideas, methods, rules, etc. that people go by and some are doctor supported! Some may be right, some may be wrong- depending on who you talk to. Nothing wrong with finding out more than one…

  • I ditched my first plateau when I got injured and could not workout for quite some time...low and behold, my plateau ended. Here I sit with my second one and while I havent seen a whole lot of result ( only been a week) I believe that simply swiching eating programs will do it ( I've been on WW couning points now I count…
  • Since February 2007, I've lost 45 lbs...I'd love to lose 80 or more....but truth be told, I struggle with this so much everyday that I'm happy with every single lb lost. If I only lost 30 more I'd be happy happy happy!!
  • Here's a list of websites I've gotten use of in the past- some are motivating, some are informational. http://www.wwfamilyforum.com/ ( Weight Watcher Success Stories) Healthdiscovery.net halfmysize.com dwlz.com (Weight Watcher based, but lots of good stuff) slimfast.com ediets.com shape.com prevention.com bodyforlife.com…
  • I did that last Easter- I went overboard on the Easter Candy after not having any for a long time- SICK as a dog. Man alive! I used to be able to eat an entire bag, now after a couple of handfuls, I was sick!
  • I too WAS a daily weigher, but then I came to the conclusion that I based my days eating on the morning's numbers and it wasnt doing me any good. If I was down, I'd celebrate with a few extra calories, if I was up, I'd cut back probably more than I should. I would have daily ups and downs- There are too many factors in…
  • Thinking happy thoughts for you!! hope your MIL is doing well!
  • Hey all!! Update-My mom had an angioplasty procedure- as it turns out, she has less than 10% blockage in her arteries, so it was not needed- and it was initially diagnosed wrong. It does not appear to be Congestive Heart Failure after all, but the diagnosis is still unclear. In any case, I visited her everday in the…
  • I'm one of those people that if I hear "you cannot have this"...then that's all I want...Seriously. I will freak out on something I'm "not supposed to have" just for the sake of having it. So that being the case, I have to allow for things I love. I would gladly have a smaller serving of something if it meant I can have…
  • My mom is in the hospital right now, just diagnosed with Congestive heart Failure. At the hospital last night, The team of doctors were asking about her lifestyle and eating habits ( she too has been on a diet for the last about 30 years!) She is a big fan of Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, Weight Watchers frozen meals- eats…
  • I recently had the Top Gun Soundtrack in my MP3 and it was awesome! Gwen Stafani is also a gooch choice Madonna too- Most of her albums are great to work out to.
  • I'm going shoppig this weekend! Anything new to look for?
  • Hi there- I'm new too- definitely not new to weight loss, I've been doing that for over half my life! I think you sound so incredibly READY! really. I know every time I attempt, I get to the point where I am utterly disgusted and depressed with myself and serioulsy within a few days I already feel like a million bucks!…
  • Hello- I thought I'd check this out for a change. I' had been losing weight with weight watchers for about the last 11 months ( about 45 lbs) and while I know it works, I'm now on my second plateau in about two months, so I'm shaking things up with something new. So far I really like this board!
