Yep. me too. I wear shirts long enough to cover my waist/butt area so I can kid myself into thinking I don't look so bad. I have never found a pair of shorts that ever worked for me. In my running/training groups, it was rare for women to wear anything else, regardless of size, so it's a common problem.

I don't even have the reasoning of having a child...I just eat. Emotional eater right here...any old reason will do. Neighbors second cousin get promoted? Celebrate with pie! co-workers goldfish die? LOL! Yes...I drink more water...it has to come out sometime. Not to mention flushing toxins, often times less sodium in better eating can lead to less retention of water. It's all good.

This is a hard call....and completely an individual decision. It truly depends on how open of a person you are, how comfortable in sharing you are, how much you want to share, ( i/e general 'healthy eating' or specific numbers to lose, etc) and the people around you. I don't actually know my number, I have my HRM set on %, so I know in terms of how hard I'm working. I try to keep it above 80% to really get a good workout. Somedays, depending on what I'm doing, that's not hard at all! I figure if I'm at least 70% then I know I'm doing something. Resting for me is about 35- 45%
