  • Where do you find the yoga meltdown? I love the yoga I am able to do and have managed to have most of t manipulated so this crip can do it.
  • I love the way you ended this -- Don't judge yourself against anyone else. That is so hard. However, I am here to try once more to lose about 100 pounds---one pound at a time. My new goal for 2010 is to exercise a minimum of 30 minutes 4-5 days a week, keep up my food log, and to lose weight a little bit each and every day…
  • Toby, It is great that you quit smoking. You and your child will benefit greatly from it. I wish I was a size 12 since I am double that but know what you mean about changing sizes and being unhappy. For a short time, it will be difficult to control your eating. Just deal with not smoking a little longer then go back to…
  • I am one of those people who is addicted to food who is married to someone who can and does eat everything and never gains an ounce. Food was my first and has remained my best friend. It has been there through thin and THICK!!! Thin folks just can't understand our torture or battle in trying to lose or even…
  • Thanks for your support. I know exercise is a large part of the equation. However, it is not my friend. I was doing the treadmill when I broke my foot and had to use a "boot" for almost a year. Now I am doing the yoga--which I love--however, I now have a breathing problem and truing up-side-down makes it worse. Guess what…
  • Doesn't sound to me like you are a weak link! It sounds like you are really caring and have some good advice. Thanks for the boost. P.S. Love your "baby".
  • Loved your answer. If we don't obsess do we have a chance at winning at this losing game. I just can't budge the scale and I think it is because I am eating really healthy good food and not obsessing about it. When I did weird diets--Pepsi and apples all day, no carbs, etc., I did so much better.
  • Thank you all for your advice. I have just returned from a week long vacation. I managed to relatively stay on my 1200 cal "life style". This is the diet I was placed on. I am definitely cranky expecially since my husband has to have a very high calorie diet to just barely exist. It is so disheartening to watch him eat and…
  • I can honestly say I have always been less than thin but for the last 10 years I have been over the top. Up until recently my activities have overcome the weight but like the doc says, a 2 ton truck may carry 3 tons for a while but it will give out over time. Is there any kind of eating that is not emotional??? We eat when…
  • Doggie doors are a saving grace for me. Although I have cats, I got tired of the getting up in the middle of the night to let them in or out. There is some drafting but not enough to discourage them. Good luck.
  • This is my first posting for this site. You are all so enthusiastic. I sure can use this. I am recently diagnosed as a diabetic so MUST lose weight. I started Yoga last year and that has helped but now I have to step up the exercise. This is very difficult for me because of multiple medical problems. I tried walking on the…
  • I haven't tried this one but I do the Wii Sport and Fitness. How do you determine the calories used?: I am definitely getting a work out with the tennis and the aerobic sections.
