I agree. If you REALLY want it, divide it in a few portions and eat it over time. If you don't really want it that bad give it to someone else or throw it away.

I'm having the same issue - I can't really decide what I want to do because I'm trying to stop drinking all together (marathon training). My suggestion would be to have one or two. Enjoy yourself, have a glass of champagne to ring in the new year and have a good time...just don't overdo it. Good luck!

The thing that has really gotten me to stay with it is my decision to run a marathon in June (I'm NOT a runner). Set some sort of goal that you REALLY want to reach that doesn't have to do with your weight but will be reached by keeping healthy habits. It has helped me.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I agree with everyone else - find a way to complain. Tell your landlord that they need to let you out of your lease or you will take further legal action as they are not holding up their end of the lease and move somewhere else.
