i did my first "race" in July. It was 5k and i walked the whole thing. It took about an hour and i certainly wasn't the last to finish. I'm proud that i even finished it and by next year hope to be able to run it (or at least jog). Just be proud of how far you have come and for having the balls to try it. Good luck and I'm…

maybe you're not being honest with your logging. Are you weighing everything and counting everything you eat? I log everything. Even when i go over. I can look back then and check where I'm going over or where I'm eating too much crap.

thankyou everyone for your advice. In particular lambchoplolly for all the slimming world information and Crystalflame for the ideas on the Mediterranean diet. I love med foods. Also a good idea about upping my calorie goal too. Its better that i focus on better eating first rather than massive weight loss. Thats exactly…

I really appreciate all the feedback from everyone. I genuinely need some inspiration!!

I've lost my focus, I felt really motivated until about April. I was ill for about 10 days at the beginning of April so didn't exercise and ate what I could stomach then I went on holiday, when I came home I had quite a few pieces of bad news regarding my family and I've only started feeling more "normal" this week. I need…

i just got back from 4 day vacation where i didnt track and I ate a lot of crap. Yeah i came back bloated but a few days back on track with plenty of water and some exercise and it will all drop off again. This happens whenever i go on holiday, I lose my momentum. Its something I'll need to work on but i do know from…

drink green tea with lemon in it and take milk thistle. This will help your liver process the over indulgence.we've all been there thats why were all on here! Dont try anything extreme and just take it one day at a time. Good Luck.

the short answer is no. I've lost 30lb in total since September last year and the only people to notice were my best friend and my mum. I have dropped a clothes size and I noticed my stomach is looking smaller but clearly no one has!

a glass of prosecco or cava (125ml) is about 100 cals and I always think it feels quite a treat so I tend to drink it slower

i agree. I do interval training on the treadmill for about 45 mins but i struggle to do even 5 mins on the elliptical.

this is a great idea. If you eliminate the post binge guilt its much easier to get back on track. Its a long journey, you're not going to get it perfect everyday!

i did my first session on sunday and my next one will be tomorrow, I didnt so much run as jog to be honest as I'm not fit enough to run yet!!

Hi Ortax, I gained 28lbs in a very short space of time earlier this year whilst on antidepressants. I had already put on about 14lbs due to the depression itself but the additional weight gain made me feel worse. I saw my doctor about the gain but he wouldn't change my meds until i had been on them for 3 months minimum. I…

focus on core exercises to help with your posture and some chest exercises to improve your pecs. If you have good muscle in your pecs it will help keep your breast perkier whatever their size. On a side note my body continued to change shape until i was about 22, only subtly but my body shape was more rounded when i was…

hi! I noticed I had more energy after the first 14lbs but my clothes were looser after about 20lbs. I lost 10lbs in one week before joining MFP but didn't lose anything for the next two which is when I joined here. A steady loss is the best way to go. :)
