  • i'm sorry you are feeling so crappy! Hopefully you will get some relief soon. I love reading what we all have to look forward to! lol!
  • I think even if you are a SAHM you should have one. You can pump after a feeding to get an extra supply- breast milk will stay in the freezer for quite some time I am told. That way- if you are sick or very very tired daddy or someone else can feed the baby from a bottle in the evening/on the weekend, etc if you need a…
  • I am too embarassed to ask my mom about my brother! That is the only other man really in our family except for my father in law and step father. And I am DEFINATELY not going there. Lol! I find it surprising that you have not seen someone who was not before ckmama - but again like you said it probably depends on your area,…
  • Ok, I am probably opening a huge can or worms here... but what is everyone planning to do re: circumcision? (if you have a boy) Personally for my husband and I, I don't feel we need to do it. Hundreds of thousands of men are not circumsized. It will hurt the baby. There can be complications. Hubby is cut, so he of course…
  • Does anyone work for themselves/from home? I am interested in knowing what you do. I am planning for when my mat leave runs out.... I would love to stay home but know I will need to make some extra money somehow. any ideas?
  • I have been using HE stuff too (bought it at the same time as the set) but plan to go back to regular when this stuff runs out. I don't find a problem with the smell- but I have unscented stuff. Maybe you could try that.
  • Yay that is awesome!!! Let's hope it stays that way for you.
  • Oooo that sounds interesting! What is the recipe for making your own?
  • Does anyone have one of those front load washers that are supposed to only use "high effiiciency" detergent? We just got one a few weeks ago. Can I really not use regular detergent, or is that just a ploy to have us buy more expensive stuff?
  • Lol! That is kind of cute... but I can see how it would get annyoing.
  • I told my two best friends immediately, when I was 4 weeks and just found out. My hubby told his best friend then too. We waited to tell our family until xmas, (I was 7 weeks), I told work and everyone else at 10 weeks. No particular reason, it just felt right.
  • @Carina73- I am in South East Alberta- about an hour outside of Calgary. We are lucky though - it is plus 3 today as a chinook rolled in and brought the warm weather with it! That is when I enjoy Alberta in the winter. @littlespy- I hear ya on worrying about summer! granted it does not get as hot here as it does there, I…
  • oops made a mistake here! I hate that I can't delete my posts when I accidentally press quote instead of edit.
  • I saw that movie, but did not rent it. I want to see it really bad! All the more incentive now.
  • Are you talking farenheigt or celcuis? The past couple days here have hovered around -35 celcius, which is the same as -31F
  • i LOVE dr pepper! I will have to remember that and perhaps try some when I am a few weeks further. mamatoabunch- keeping my fingers crossed for you!!
  • Might sound funny but I am excited for Valentines day too! I hope he does something nice for me. We met on Valentines day 3 years ago. I can't believe how much has changed in 3 years!!!
  • I second that!
  • Anyone interested in cloth diapering I found this great link: http://www.bynature.ca/cloth-diapering-101.html
  • Weighed myself today and up 8lbs since the beginning of this pregnancy. But since 2 weeks ago I was the same, technically I have gained 8 lbs in 2 weeks. OMG!!!!!!!! I overindulged on holidays with chips and ice cream, etc. I hope this is water weight and after a few days of eating better I am down a bit! Cause I know 8…
  • When I first read your post about the back ache I thought right away about urinary tract infections too. When I was about 22 I had a UTI, however since I had never had one, I did not notice (guess I didn;t know what to expect) until it was too late and the infection had spread to my kidneys. It was so painful and I had a…
  • Mama (and others interested in cloth diapers). I am so glad that this discussion came up today, as I was logging in to ask a few questions about cloth diapers to the veteran moms out there too! So I plan to use cloth diapers, but how exactly do they work? I know they have inserts. Are these disposable? You have to buy a…
  • Arrived back home this morning after the worse flight of my life back from Hawaii. It was overnight... and I must not have drank enough water that day because my legs started swelling before I even got on the plane, which was delayed by two hours. I was soooo uncomfortable, and the pilot was seatbelt light happy. So hardly…
  • That is super cute!!! I can't wait for it to be time for me to start setting up the baby room!
  • OMG!!! That is awful. I am glad you guys called the ambulance rather than trying to suffer through the pain. It must have scared your little guy to have his mom in so much pain! So how long will it take to heal? On the bright side, since they did surgery... you shouldn't have this problem again? Or will it be a life long…
  • My favorites are: Addison Arlene and Ethan Moore :-)
  • My husband and I can't agree on a girl name either. With a boy name we are lucky- before we even started trying he blurted out a name he liked one day out of the blue, and I was like... yeah! That's a good name. Our boy name is Easton Eric, Eric named after his grandfather. But, the funny thing is that we still discuss…
  • Wow this is very frustrating!!! Honestly- if it were me I would switch dr's completely. I know it's out of his control that the snow storm has left him stranded, but really if this is the third time it would be ringing alarms for me!
  • So who plans to find out the sex, and who plans to wait? Hubby and I have decided to wait. We like the surprise- and I think it makes it more fun for family and friends too. (at least it is for me when friends have babies and they didn't know ahead. I love finding out when they have had the baby and what they named it)…
  • Around where I live, showers are always held after the baby is born. It is a chance for all the friends and family to come together and meet the little boy or girl. Also, some people do not find out the sex, and in that case, friends/family know to buy a gift for a girl or boy by that point. Would that be an option for you…
