  • Hi there, I had previously lost a lot of weight with just proper eating and moderate exercise but put back on about 20 lbs. Last week I was speaking with my trainer and during conversation about my weight she asked what I did before when I was successful. I told her and all of a sudden a light bulb went off and I realized…
  • Actually due to a medical condition I am doing a rotation of calories 900, 1000, 1200 and 900, 1000, 1200 but this is under medical supervision so I would not advise it. Usual recommendations would be no lower than 1200.
  • I use plain Dijon mustard in my salad. you only need a bit to get a lot of flavour.
  • could be hormonal changes, as you age losing weight becomes more difficult
  • Nope not really a problem for me. I am so tired from working out that I just want to collapse. I focus on what I am making for dinner that night and have that. Preparation is the key to no drive through I think.
  • need to lose 20lbs but really inches around my waist. Doctor is more concerned with that measurement than weight.
  • I would say that you don't have a choice. Consider it an appointment. If you had to go to the doctor's you wouldn't say that you can't get there. So don't over think it just go. That is what I do and believe it is not my favourite place to be.
  • I only drink wine on weekends and not to excess but the sugar is the thing to watch for.

  • 4'10" having a hard time losing. Been working out since September lost a couple of inches. Keeping away from the scale though as I can get obsessive with the numbers. Try to do cardio most lunches and strength training at night.
  • Happy New Year. New to this thread but looking forward to getting healthy. I have been going to the gym five days a week and have started to go twice a day. Eating pretty good I guess. If I didn't have an thyroid problem I would probably be much thinner. It is a daily struggle. I am eating about 1117 calories and having…
  • Im not a morning person either. I go to the gym straight from work. I get changed at work before a leave so I am already committed to going. Yes I hate the gym but it is necessary just like eating. The computer is not something you have to do the gym is. You dog will wait until you get home to go out mine does. Sometimes I…
  • keep going remember your weight can fluctuate with water retention etc. have you had your thyroid checked?
  • Hi there I also have a underactive thyroid along with other issues which make losing weight a challenge. I need to lose a minimum of 20lbs in order to be healthy. I have been exercising five days a week but sometimes get discouraged. I have lost inches but the lbs are not exactly falling off. I would be interested in…
  • you can technically exercise with a cold unless it is in your chest. If its only in your sinus you can work out but if you don't feel like it don't do it. Listen to your body it really does know best.
  • Sounds pretty abusive behaviour to me. Maybe therapy would help or marriage counselling. Abuse doesn't have to be physical, emotional abuse leaves scars too.
  • I've been there. Go to the gym and don't worry about the weight. Yes it is easy to say but I've been there an still working on it. Just do it.
  • Start slow but keep moving. I have a bad knee, rotator cuff has been torn multiple times. I have a trainer who with my doctors input put together a plan of action. Was really sore for days but kept going just cut back on certain things until pain subsided a bit. Lots of ice on sore areas and make sure you warm up and…
  • I plan for every snack and meal the day before so that I can just grab it and go. I also work full and have very little time to prepare when I get home.
  • Im having trouble losing anything. I am on a 1100 calorie intake and unfortunately have a desk job. I mean unfortunately because I don't get much exercise during the day. I go for a walk at lunch and volunteer for any errands to be done. I have asthma and therefore am restricted somewhat by what cardio I can do. Any advice…
  • Just recently officially joined, many medical issues. Just recently went Vegan to assist with the weight loss. Feel free to add me as well.
