  • Hey, I totally hear you! I have a bottle of ECA stack that my friend gave me ages ago and every now and then, I look and it and think about whether I should take it... but you're right, it is a quick fix and not something we need in this total lifestyle change that we are striving for. Great job on holding yourself…
  • Another post for last night - 20 minutes on treadmill - 2 x 1 min, 1 x 2 min and 2 x 1.5 min runs :)
  • I'm guessing if you are only walking that should be okay but if you have access to an elliptical that could be even better since there is less pressure and you will still get the positive cardiovascular effect. Hope your knee feels better soon!
  • This is a really great idea... slow is always the best way with running... the risks of taking it too quickly are many and you'll thank yourself later for doing it this way... good luck!
  • Ms Monny, I'm sure it's ok for you to join in! We officially started in January and so have only been on for less than 2 weeks. I'm from Australia too so Ive just been posting when suits me :) 5.5k was today - took me 55 mins to finish and like I thought I mainly walked but threw in a few runs in there.
  • Hi, another post for yesterday... 2.1kms in 20 mins - 3 x 1min runs and 1 x 2 min run near the end! I had a day off today because... wait for it... I signed up for do a 5.5k tomorrow morning... lol! I'm going to die but in a good way. I plan to take it slow and steady and I'm not going to care about my overall time, just…
  • Hi! You're meant to calibrate it when you get it at a proper track (Nike recommended as our running/walking gait is different outdoors as opposed to a treadmill). Then once you've done that, then I'd go with what your Nike tells you. Out of curiosity, is it a sportband? I got one too for Xmas :)
  • Another great plus with light weight training is that it will also help you with any loose skin from weight loss... I say go for it! :)

  • Third post of the week! 20 mins - 1.94kms (1.2 miles). I did 2 x 1 min run segments and 1 x 2 min run segment :)
  • For some reason I'm the opposite! I hate working out alone and I love group fitness type classes (or someone next to me on the same machine) - so I can compare and even (in my head) compete with them - I must be a weirdo right? Lol... Anyway, why don't you try that... instead of saying "I'm so crap, they must be laughing…
  • Stupid BMI... it's coz I'm only 5' exact
  • Oooh, I like Nicole Scherzinger and Jessica Biel too (JB in Blade Trinity) and I forgot, Leighton Meester :)
  • Exactly! My doctor used BMI for me and recommended I take prescription diet pills since I was in the obese category... I took them and now they've been banned in my country because they cause heart attacks! Now looking back on it, I don't think that risk was worth it.
  • Thank you! I too am obese by BMI standards but overweight in terms of body fat percentages... system sucks!
  • How about buying wraps instead? You can always use other fillers like tuna, smoked salmon, boiled egg (instead of turkey) and fill it up with lots of salad leaves, tomatoes, etc :)
  • Hi, this is great! Good for you for taking that step. Can you tell us how active/fit you are at all? Also what distance your triathlon is? I've only ever done the short courses so I can't really help you with training for a long distance but good luck with it! You might try googling free triathlon training programs on the…

  • Can I be in this too? Accountability is big in my book and I'd love to be in. Email is: jrr0405@yahoo.com.au Calls/text would be expensive coz I'm from Australia :)
  • Hi all, sorry for not posting earlier! I even had to get my butt kicked into gear by MrsSeaShell! Lol... I'm from Australia so I have to convert everything back to pounds from kilos... and I do it by .5 kilo increments, sorry for the hassle! SW: 166.1 pounds My weigh in day is tomorrow so I'll post back tomorrow night on…
  • Hi all, second day done! 17 minutes with 2 x 1 min sessions of running. Total distance = 1.7kms (1.056 miles)
  • Exercise is good, not just the weight loss benefits but the health benefits! It helps your heart, skin, etc (and also helps to tone) so it is really good if you can get some in. Also, sometimes the cals MFP gives you is quite small so you may need it if you want to eat more. Alot of people here will also tell you that you…
  • Hi, once you get the hang of it, it's really quite simple and easy to use! I love this site, I was part of a different one and that was really confusing! Anyway, good luck with it and feel free to add me!
  • Hi, do you have group fitness classes that are low impact? They're a great starting point and I find that with a room full of people and an instructor, you end up working pretty hard :) Good luck!
  • Is that for real? I'd never heard of it but googled it quickly... it seems awesome! Let me know what you find out :)
