  • My favorite is Centrum Women's. It has more vitamins/nutrients than the One A Day kind. My main problem is low iron since I don't eat much meat and taking the Centrum Women's keeps me at a good level. I also notice an improvement in my skin and nails taking it. I do NOT recommend anything from GNC. A friend of mine got a…
  • A lot of the movies you are mentioning I have never seen. Here are the ones that screwed me up or made me feel awful: IT - saw as a kid, the clown scared the living **** out of me. I still can't watch it. Eight Below - saw in the theater because I love animals and it looked good. I cried my eyes out! My friend bought it…
  • Yes, yes, yes! What this person said, definitely! It is best that you find out now how much of an *kitten* he is and how little he really loves you, before you go ahead with any marriage plans. As I said before, YOU DESERVE BETTER!!
  • Oh, sweetie, I'm so sorry... Pardon my being blunt here, but..... he's an *kitten*. Clearly, if he is letting something like this come between you, he doesn't love you. It sounds to me like he has been looking for a way out of the relationship and he's using this is a tactic to get you to end it. This is a toxic…
  • My favorite is the elliptical. Where I work out they have some ellipticals that you can change the incline on, and by doing intervals with the incline and level, I can burn 700 calories in an hour. You can watch tv, listen to music, or read while doing it and it makes it pass without getting boring.
  • Thank you!!!!! This is exactly what I've been saying for years!!
  • I wasn't meaning that I put ramen and broccoli together. I was just using ramen as an example of something that is dirt cheap. When we were hardcore budgeting and eating ramen, I was only buying probably 2 bags of broccoli a week and adding it to the pasta roni stuff. Now that we are eating healthier I am buying more…
  • I'm sorry for your loss. It is true that anything can happen to anyone.
  • I would be interested in seeing your food diary, so i can get ideas
  • I'm in the US and I agree that it is costlier to buy all healthy things than to get less healthier and pre-packaged food. For example, ground beef is cheaper than ground turkey. Pasta is cheap, but not healthy. If I substitute quinoa for pasta, it does cost more. Plus vegetables. I buy frozen broccoli florets a lot…
  • I'm not a mom, but I wanted to give you the perspective of a child born late in the mother's life. My mom was 38 when she had me in 1982. In 1999 I lost my mom to heart disease. Until I was 9, she and my dad were both heavy drinkers, and until the day they left us they were heavy smokers. I know that was a huge factor for…
  • Rice cakes are actually not as healthy as we tend to think. It's a simple sugar, really, so it gives a blood sugar spike.
  • You eat them while they're still frozen. They mush a teensy bit as they thaw in your mouth but they're still awesome! I have sensitive teeth so I can't totally chew them while frozen so I eat them slowly and that makes me eat less. Lady I work with turned me onto it and now it's my favorite way of eating grapes.
  • I live in Jonesboro, AR and they carry them at the Kroger and the Walmarts. I remember getting them up north (SW Michigan) at the Harding's market as well, and that was a small town.
  • This is what I have instead of greek yogurt! You can eat twice as much for fewer calories, more protein, and way cheaper than greek yogurt.
  • I go one step further to the sweeter side - BLACK grapes. yummy!
  • I recently saw an article that said how much money companies like Frito Lay put into making their products as addicting as possible. Additionally, it is proven that the more a food is processed, the more it raises your risk of cancer. So if by "one of 'those' people" you mean informed, then yes I suppose she is one of…
  • I'm with you. I can't stand the flavor! I have had the plain in a recipe and it was pretty good, but to just have the plain greek yogurt (or even the one with honey) YUCK!! The flavored ones are tasty though, in my opinion. Another opinion of mine - it's a bandwagon thing. It's something new and people go on and on about…
  • Hey, Kalamazoo girl!! Sorry I get all excited when I run into Michigan people since i moved to Arkansas lol I'm from Hartford :) Okay, so, snackage....I recommend bringing a cooler and packing fruits, veggies, sandwiches...anything healthy that you would normally eat that doesn't need to be heated up. The last time we took…
  • When I lived in Michigan and went to Anytime Fitness, they had tvs on each cardio machine so I would watch tv while working out. And since I didn't have cable at home then, it was stuff I wasn't used to watching. Now i'm in Arkansas and go to 10 Fitness...they have tvs, but you have to deal with whatever channel they have…
  • If this is something that is making you question whether you love her enough to be with her long-term, then clearly you're not committed to the relationship. If she is happy with herself and you feel the need to change her, there is a big problem. Personally, I think it's kind of shallow, but if that's how you are thinking…
  • No offense, sir, but it also doesn't look as good as you think it does! ((My opinion)) George Carlin said it best......if you don't know what I mean, google George Carlin on bald guys.
  • Thank you!! My skin is better right now than it was when I was not wearing any makeup (about 4-5 years ago), so clearly the foundation is not harming my skin! I agree with some of the other things that others previously said as well.....I wish my mom would not have let me eat junk food and drink soda. She fed me bad things…
  • My opinion - he's an *kitten*. If I were you, I'd take the dog and leave him. I can't stand when people mistreat or neglect animals. Plus he's being a jerk to you! If he's this irresponsible with a pet, how is he going to be if you guys have kids?
  • Yeah, what he said :)
  • As far as how much, do sets.. like bicep curls for example, do 10 curls one arm, then do 10 the other arm and if you can do 3 sets, do 3 sets. You might have to work up to doing a good amount. Sit ups/ crunches are very good so it's good that you can do those. Try going to youtube.com and searching upper body workout, or…
  • I have just begun my journey to lose over 100lbs, but I have done some ready because this is a concern for me as well. I can't find the article right now, but the tips I read were: 1. weight training/toning, 2. exfoliate - slough off the dead skin so that new, tighter skin can grow, 3. MOISTURIZE (there are even lotions…
  • Sounds delish! Thank you for sharing :)
  • Yes, beans are good for iron. I take a Centrum Women's multivitamin every day and when I get tested at the red cross it has been pretty good. I don't eat any red meat, no sea food, and not much chicken. If I didn't take that multivitamin every day, I would be low....have been turned away several times before from giving…

  • Rude people!! My goodness!! Anyway, about your question.. I, personally, have not used one. However, I had a co-worker who got one and he really liked it because it worked his arms and shoulders a lot. He said he saw and felt results pretty much right away.
