  • I want to do one in the worst way too! No advice to offer. I just got excited to see someone else with that goal lol. Getting ready to jump into a weight training routine this week and reading through posts for encouragement. Leaning hard towards aworkoutroutine. The beginner one. Good luck!!
  • Try slowing down your pace a little bit. It will help you build endurance. Then you can work on speed. I could never sustain my breathing when I would try running. I started the couch to 5K and focused on breathing not running fast. I had to give up my image of an elite runner going through the neighborhood lol. It worked…

  • I started at 39. I didn't think I would ever be a runner but decided to do couch to 5K to challenge myself. I had to overcome the fact that I was not the fastest on the street and reminded myself constantly to breathe and put one foot in front of the other. I also followed the program without trying to outdo it so to…

I still can't believe I ran 6.2 miles! Such a great feeling to accomplish something you never thought possible. The program really…
  • I'll give it a shot!

  • Not sure if you posted this in the Pittsburgh group. If not, you might find some interest there. Looks crazy! Good luck and have fun!
  • Wow...that is awesome!! Great job!!
  • Interested in replies too. I am a beginning runner. I just finished couch to 5K and ran my first 5K and am wondering what next? I'd eventually like to get to 10K to be able to vary my runs and run with friends. I've been looking around online and like both Galloway and Hal Higdon's 10 K training plans. They both have…
