The prices remain pretty consistent around here (Atlanta) whether I buy from a chain-grocery or a Farmer's market.

I cut it in half, scoop out the seedy part, add some garlic and evoo and throw each half in the microwave for 6-7 minutes then scoop it out and top with tomato sauce and parmesan. It's yummy and super low cal. And each squash is like $1.49 and at least two servings, I usually get three. Give it a try for sure!!
