*waves from Houston* Agreed!

My beat-up old razor-sharp 8" chef's knife and my Corian cutting board. Whenever I end up preparing food in someone else's kitchen, these are always the two things of mine that I wish I had on hand.

^^^ THIS ^^^ I also second the suggestion to remove the cheese from sandwiches, using no mayo/fatty condiments, etc. You can cut some calories back that way, and then just make sure that your workout that day is a planned large calorie burn, like cardio. I've learned the hard way that it's a lot more fun and less stressful…

I have the same Biggest Loser scale mentioned above. When I first got it, I weighed EVERYTHING. Now I just weigh the things that are higher in fat/calories like cheese, some nuts, meats, fish, etc. I was doing fine without it. While I'm not really worried if I eat "too much" lettuce or cucumber with my salad, I do want to…

I have to second Skinnyms.com, and add that when I'm ready for something new and different, I usually start with skinnytaste.com.

When I started C25K about a year and a half ago, I had it set so that it would show my results after every run on FB and Twitter. I stopped doing that after a couple of months, because really? Most people don't care about the workouts that everyone else is doing, and it's really no one's business but mine. I only post…

This is one of my favorites. It makes a lot and freezes well! http://www.skinnytaste.com/2009/01/lentil-and-chicken-soup-3-pts.html?m=1

Thanks, everyone! These are some really good ideas! I'm just concentrating now on getting my three lifting workouts in during a week without doing any back to back. I do stretch quite a bit - I've got a few 10-15 minute routines that I like. I think my concern is that I will get bored with Intervals and Burn It Off, since…

Good info. I hadn't thought this far ahead! (Starting Burn week 2 today!)

I'm using these. I thought they were a good deal at $99 for a pair. No real complaints so far. Out of the box they have a kind-of rubbery smell but it goes away. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0012OPCZG/ref=aw_d_var_2nd_sporting-goods_txt?colid=19C79R7F9NZLY&coliid=I489ERVQEI4A5&vs=1 I'm going to save up for the Select…

THIS! Thank you so much for sharing your transformation with everyone!

On rest days, I'm usually over a few hundred but on those days I don't allow myself more than a 500 calorie surplus. I don't log "special occasions" or when I'm on vacation, but I'd have to guess I've had overages as big as 3000 (mostly attributed to beer/wine). I figure that in these instances, logging food is pretty…

More water will help balance out the high sodium days. And, like everyone else: add more vegetables and fruit!

I'll be starting it this week! I think I'm going to do the hybrid schedule with Turbo Fire.

Love the blog post. It came at the right time. I'm going to need new jeans soon!

I am a total veggie LOVER but totally trying this. OMG.
-
Bumping because I LOVE your posts! Thanks!
-
skinnyms.com has a TON of clow cooker recipes that are pretty clean.

I'm a total gum-chewer. The Jolly Rancher idea is good too, although I'd be afraid I'd choke on it, heh.
-
I love making turkey muffins! Thanks for a new idea!

Aw, my favorites aren't mentioned! I'll have to Google the article and see if they're rated on Shape. LOVE the Boundless Nutrition Oatmega 3 bars. Currently loving the peanut butter dark chocolate because I can't find the Mocha ones anywhere (Hope they weren't discontinued!). The Dark chocolate mint ones taste like Thin…

Hi, Dan! *waves from Houston* Welcome! I don't think I can say anything better than the poster before me. One day, one meal, one snack at a time!

Loving my Polar FT60!

I have to throw my vote in for skinnytaste.com and skinnyms.com. Especially Skinnyms if you want to use your crock pot. There are a TON of slow cooker recipes on that site! I dont buy all organic, but as others have posted, I try to adhere to the dirty dozen/clean fifteen list. I also wash everything before I use it. I got…

This is VERY good information. Thanks so much for all of your help! And guess what? After my first week using the polar, it made me re-do the "fitness test" which is supposed to calculate the VO2max. I put my "real" info back into it, re-did the test, and voila! Now everything seems to be on point.

I'm doing Turbo Jam right now and running 2-3 days a week. I have both CLX and TF and I think I'm going to jump in with both feet and start the hybrid schedule on the 9th or so when I get back from vacation. For those of you that have done CLX and Turbo Fire - Is this a good idea? Or should I stick with one or the other…

I have a similar recipe that I've never tried because I'd forgotten about it. Thanks for posting this! I'll have to give it a whirl!

BUMP. So many awesome ideas here. Thanks, y'all!

I don't know what it is about pizza, but I'm the same way. I have to make my own at home with the small crusts, so that it's the ONLY pizza I'll be eating.
