What?! 50 reps?! Seems a little excessive. I thought strength was built to progressively heavier, low rep sets, and anything past 12 +/- reps is a waste?, but...I'm a newbie to lifting, so "in" to hear the experts' opinions!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Because I don't have to balance the bar, or really engage my core, I figured it was too good to be true. haha!

Bodybuilding.com has workouts and most require equipment. While Planet Fitness is limited on free weight equipment, you should still be able to use some Bodybuilding.com workouts there.

I started weight lifting and love the gym, now, because of it.

Wow!!! That's great progress!

Well, given YOUR stats compared with Rachel's, I'd say the classification system IS flawed. If your pics and stats are current, YOU have an ideal (imo) shape; you also appear healthy, because you appear to have lean body mass. Rachel's face and arms were the appeared to be on the brink of withering away. I think that's due…

"I'm married, work full-time, and have a 2.5 year old. I don't have time to go to the gym." Solution: 24 Hour Fitness membership and going after I put my little one to bed, which sometimes puts me at the gym at 10 p.m., when I have to be up at 5 a.m., but I do it, anyway. Because nothing changes, if nothing changes.

Exercise is soooo good for you when you're pregnant, because it keeps you healthy (as you mentioned) and it keeps you flexible and strong to aid in the delivery process. I did Tae Kwon Do, until I was about 6 months pregnant (no sparring) and loved it! My TKD instructor trained up to the day before she had her little one,…

Wow! That's impressive! I will do my BW exercises with more enthusiasm, now.

^^This. I just started lifting a little over a month ago, and despite my direct request to trainer manager that I wanted a Olympic lifting certified trainer to help me with forms on deadlifts and squats, they tried to start me on a totally different work-out routine. After several direct, somewhat heated discussions with…

Marge: “Homer, stop eating your head.” Homer: “But I’m so yummy…” I wonder if Homer's head is a 3,500 calorie donut?

Love it!!!

I'm sorry, but I have to Lol, on this one. Usmcmp's results prove that it worked for her, so I'm going to trust that her methods could work for me, too.

I'd go with the blackened salmon with roasted veggies. Although, I'm a sucker for eggplant parmesan. ha!

Yep. I watched it on demand and haven't seen the final episode, just clips from it. She was definitely driven, which I really liked, but this was not what I expected her to do with it.
-
Yep. I definitely think it's astounding how NBC/BL is adamantly supporting Rachel's weight loss as if this is a good thing. We're not stupid. We.Can.See.Her. She needs to put on a few pounds, for sure. I've always enjoyed the BL, but the last few seasons have become less and less enjoyable.

^^This, completely.

Yes, it is... ...BUT that's not what people (save a few) are doing here. She doesn't look healthy, right now, AT ALL. IF she had biceps and some fullness to her face, then she'd look healthier. The number on the scale isn't of concern to me. The level of lean body mass loss IS astounding, though...and not in a good way.
-
Omg, you're right. Tonya mouthed, "woah," and not in a good way.
-
That's actually something to consider...we'll wait for the newer pics to come out, after the sensationalism dies down.

That's ONE positive thing that I DO love about MFP: muscles and athleticism with women is celebrated here.

Since when is legitimate concern for someone's health, jealousy and hatred?
-
^^This.
-
^^ Yup!
-
She DOES look beautiful! Awww, go, Tumi!
-
Gah! I seriously forgot to watch the finale...I didn't know Tumi won it?! Go, Tumi!!!
-
Her and Bob were NOT ok with that.
-
Yeah, you know it! Money. It's so useful when you're dead.
-
Yes. I think that's the takeaway message here. ha!
