The Mayo Clinic recommends 150 minutes of moderate aerobic or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic per week plus strength training. It's easy to break that down into smaller daily segments & meet the basic goal.

I use the Sportline 955 pedometer watch. It is a little large but it's awesome and it's very comfy.

I take a 45 spin class and add in 20-30 minute of weight-bearing cardio before or after class 4x a week.

Check your local library. They may have some and may be available for no charge if you have a membership.

It really is a whole different exercise. Keep trying it - maybe mix it up with the treadmill - and decide if you like it. Figure out your goal - is it to just get through the workout quickly or is it to keep increasing your distance or resistance or whatever. Once you know where you want to go, you'll be able to get there.
