Make sure you eat your good fats. I did the low-fat thing once and I didn't lose anything, but discovered that without any good fat, everything stalls. its only been 6 weeks. keep up the good work and it will come. everyone loses at a different pace, some are slow and steady and others go in spurts.

Try SodaStream. Fixes my fizzy cravings, add a bit of mio or juice if you don't like plain water. I retain water like crazy if I drink diet pop.

any spice is good! I find that the more flavourful my food is the less I tend to eat. I seem to get full faster. Its seems more satisfying somehow. when in doubt put rooster sauce on it.

Pick one thing to do today - maybe get on your treadmill, do a set of free weights, drink 8 glasses of water. just pick one small little thing to do better today and maybe it won't seem like such a big mountain to climb. just take one baby step today and you'll feel better again and motivated.

I find that Stevia tastes absolutely dreadful! I can't eat it at all. the nastiest stuff ever made. I use Xyltol for Sweetener and it has very little taste to it other than just "sweet". and yes, I can roll my tongue.....weird.

I have a different approach to the scale. I weigh myself every morning. Then I see the trends and can keep myself on track and motivated. I retain water like crazy, so I know if I have a high sodium day or if I have booze or if I do my 100 squats, I know I will be retaining some extra water the next morning. So it reminds…

Take a look and see where your sugar is coming from. Is it fruit and veg? is it coming from sweets and treats?

OK, now that we've all had some fun...... you ate fries, big deal. log them and move on. eat better tomorrow. this is a long game dear, no reason to get your knickers in a bunch over some french fries. enjoy them, make good choices tomorrow.

Could be a food intolerance/sensitivity. Worth discussing with professional if it is bothering you. Usual course of action is eliminating the common suspects then re-introducing them.

I try to limit what else I eat that day to make up for it. Then make the best choice I can wherever we end up. If its pizza, get 1 slice, get thin crust, get veggies. add a salad. Have 1 glass of wine instead of 3 ; ) Or - enjoy and tomorrow is another day! Work out extra hard tomorrow.

When you know where you are going, try to remember what restaurants are around and plan, plan, plan what you know you can eat. That first 6 pounds is mostly water. I do the same thing. It will even out and you should work to 1-2 pounds/month. Keep at it, keep drinking water. It will come. Think of it as 2 steps forward, 1 step back, eventually we get to our goals.

I managed to only have 1 little Coffee Crisp and 1 little Baby Ruth.
