I <3 comparison pics! Everyone is truly inspirational. I'm still a work in progress, but I'm more than halfway to goal and I have now lost enough that I can no longer say, "I have more than 100 pounds to go." Edited: dang! My pics are too big. You can view them here: www.fatgirldiariesonline.blog.com

Congratulations from a show-choir mom! And you will definitely keep seeing progress! :)

Ohmigosh! I'm floored! :) Thank you!!

I really like your plan! Great job! The tool I use most right now is MFP's food diary. I log every bite, and staying under my calorie goal is part of my food plan. Once I log a meal, I forget about it. No beating myself up about it if it was a bad choice, no celebrating with a binge food if I made a good choice. I log it…

(((hugs))) Glad you're here, and thanks for sharing. I could have said (and probably have said) every single thing you said. We've all been there.

WOW! Your stomach just disappeared! What a huge difference! You are doing a fabulous job! Thanks for being an inspiration!

Surely after looking at these pics you see your weight loss! You look fabulous! I love how your ever-slimming face makes your gorgeous smile more noticeable with each progress picture. You are doing GREAT and your hard work is paying off. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm a smidge over 5'7", and my goal (right now) is 150. My initial goal weight was 165, and I am considering a goal of 140. I have no idea what is realistic for my body; I have never been a healthy weight. I may get to 175 and decide that I'm hot enough. ;) I'm currently 252 (officially; I weigh officially and post to MFP…

Thanks so much for your support and encouragement! I am SO grateful for the community of support here on MFP. Where else could I do a happy dance for being "obese" and have close to 100 friends cheer me on? Thanks for helping me celebrate ALL of my victories!

Just wanted to thank all of you AGAIN for your responses! In addition to helping me visualize what healthy weights look like, you have helped me reaffirm what I already know but is hard to really accept: The scale lies!! ALL of you look incredible, beautiful, healthy, and fit. I am working HARD to let go of using the scale…

I also wonder... those of you in the 120's to 140's: what was your heaviest weight? Did you spend a long time overweight/obese?
-
Thank you thank you thank you for your responses! Can I just say... you ladies look AMAZING! Absolutely stunning!! My jaw dropped so many times that I have a bruise now. :) Kinda hard (still) to wrap my brain around the idea that I will ever look like this... but I'm just gonna keep on living this healthy lifestyle. I…

And lace-up shoes! Real clothes and lace-up shoes! Congrats on getting off the couch and getting your reality check. It's tough to swallow, but everyone has a starting point. It only gets better from here. :)

Hi Davidea! Welcome to MFP! Your story is a definite eye-opener. But what stands out the most is your positive attitude. I think you rock, girlfriend! :) I'm in the 100+ pound club, too. I have lost 52 lbs so far, but I still have more than 100 to lose. That's kind of hard to say out loud, but I know I'm committed to this…

I'm continually blessed and overwhelmed by the support and encouragement here on MFP! Thanks for all of your positive responses. My Craving Monster has been rearing its ugly head and I have been a tad discouraged by the battle. It helps so so SO much to be able to come here and see your positivity! :) Now, go take a…

Thanks so much for the encouragement and positive responses! As far as new clothes for progress pics... I actually have to change into those pants in order to take pictures. I can't work out in them because they fall off during jumping jacks.

I do the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I do 3 days, then rest on the 4th day. I did each of the levels for about 3 weeks and now I alternate between levels 1 and 3. I try to eat as cleanly as I can, focusing on protein-dense foods. And I stay around 1200 calories daily. And water! Lots and lots of water. :) Thanks for the…

I know someone from MFP who walks inside. She doesn't have a treadmill, doesn't have a huge house, but she walks. Even just going up and down a hallway for 20 minutes a day will make a difference; just move your body through space. I started doing the 30 Day Shred (search for it on YouTube) when I weighed 315 pounds (I'm…

Have you tried searching the forums? There are a TON of threads here with 30DS results. You can also view the workouts for free on YouTube. That way you can try them out without investing the $10 for the DVD. Happy Shredding!

Just have to add the (but in lowercase) at the end. :) You look amazing! Great job!!

Went to my second meeting on Saturday morning. Once again impressed by the warm welcome from the group. Will go to a third meeting tonight. My town has a total of 3 meetings a week available; Monday and Thursday nights and Saturday mornings. How often do you go to meetings? Do you have favorite meetings? What format do you…

Welcome back, my friend! And remember that every time you draw a breath, it's another chance. Another chance to choose. That means you never have to wait till next year, or next month, or next week, or even the next day. With each breath you can choose to get back on the wagon. :)

It's a Jillian Michaels exercise DVD. You can view all 3 levels of the workout on YouTube if you search 30 Day Shred. I think the BeFit channel is the one that has them.

Congrats on finishing, lulaloops!! Awesome job! I took 2 rest days (1 planned, the second was just plain lazy) and hit it again this morning. One of the changes with this program that I really like is that I *feel* better. I *feel* stronger. With the exception of Level 2 - which I hated every dang minute - I can feel my…

Beautifully and simply put! I think "different mindfulness" may just be my mantra for the day! Thank you!

Hey girlie! You may stalk me any time! :) Food addiction and compulsive eating are tricky little devils because (at least to me) they can disguise themselves in all different ways. Sometimes when I think I have my eating under control, I realize I am over spending like crazy. The steps, traditions, and tools in the OA…

Here's another one that my family loves loves loves: http://www.makedinnereasy.com/orzo-pasta-salad.html I have no idea about the nutritional content and it would prolly need to be modified. I know we don't put anywhere close to the amount of dressing (oil & vinegar) mentioned in the recipe. But we love the flavor of the…

Planned rest day today so I slept in (ahhhh... that was lovely!) but I am thinking of doing Level 3 after work anyway. Yesterday I did Level 3 in the morning - have I mentioned that I love that level?? - and then did Biggest Loser Cardio Max levels 1 and 2 in the evening. Apparently I took a hit of crack yesterday or…

Steamed broccoli. We eat the heck outta some broccoli. And steamed zucchini spears. Something about cutting it into spears makes it yummier to me. And the over roasted asparagus I mentioned already. Here's the link: http://www.makedinnereasy.com/oven-roasted-asparagus.html Oh, and I don't want the cookie. :)
