  • I started doing the Fat to Fit challenges in September 2022 and since then have lost a total of 20.7 lbs. I enjoy these challenges and they really help to keep me motivated. Overall, since making my lifestyle change in January 2022, I have lost a total of 67.9 lbs. My goal weight is 135-140. My goal for April is to lose at…
  • GinLee61 Friday weigh-in PW: 161.3 CW: 162.1 Very frustrating. I didn't do anything different over the past week but gained anyway. I'm guessing water weight, although I really didn't have any high sodium days. Even though my body seems to want me to stay around 162 I'm not giving up!

  • GinLee61 3/24 Friday Weigh-In PW: 161.6 CW: 161.3 I pulled out the tape measure yesterday for the first time in 2 months. I'd been holding off since I've only lost about 3.5 lbs since the last time I measured. I was pleasantly surprised that I lost another inch from my waist, an inch from my hips, half an inch from my…
  • Finally remembered to update my measurements this morning. It's been 2 months and, even though I've only lost 3.5 lbs since the last time I measured, I was happy to see another inch gone from my waist, an inch from my hips, half an inch from my bust, and half an inch from each thigh. Total inches lost to date: Hips = 11…
  • Congratulations! Very well done. You must feel really great!!
  • Try to plan your meals for the week in advance then shop so that you have everything that you need on hand. Planning ahead, and prepping as much you can in advance, makes it easier to stay on track when you are tired at the end of the work day. When I was working I would cook several meals over the weekend and freeze them…

  • 3/17/23 Friday weigh-in PW: 162.2 CW: 161.6 The scale moved a little more this week than it did for my last weigh-in. I'm fine with that and still hope to be under 160 by the end of March. 68.4 lbs lost to date but really looking forward to hitting that 70 lb threshold. Have a great week!
  • Friday weigh-in: 3/10/23 PW: 162.3 CW: 162.2 My progress seems to be leveling off again but I did have a couple higher calorie days including one when I ate way too many potato chips. Just have to keep going. I'm still hoping to get below 160 by the end of March. Have a great weekend everyone!

  • @buniphuphu - Congrats on your 10% weight loss! @MotylekOkruchy - Happy, happy birthday! Eating out is certainly a challenge. I try to manage it by reviewing the menu in advance (if possible), deciding what I will order, entering it into my diary as best I can, and skipping the dessert and alcohol. It helps that many…
  • @RubyRed427 - Oh no!! Sending hugs and healing thoughts. I hope your leg heals quickly. I would still weigh myself if it were me, taking the weight of the cast into consideration. I've been forced to do more seated exercise myself due to a foot injury. There are some pretty good ones on YouTube. I like the HASFIT seated…
  • GinLee61 Friday weigh-in PW: 163.4 CW: 162.3 Finally below where I was before going on vacation so I feel like I'm moving forward again instead of just trying to catch up. I suffered a foot injury trying to help move a very heavy piece of furniture so I've had to spend less time on my feet. I still managed to get in my…

  • Welcome back! You're story could be mine, except that I stopped exercising regularly as my weight went up. By the time I started using MFP again I was 230 lbs and could barely climb a flight of stairs. I had to start out by doing seated exercise videos that I found on YouTube. I'm 61 now and have been tracking faithfully…
  • Due to an injury I have reverted back to doing seated exercise videos instead of my usual aerobics. I did them when I was first starting out 14 months ago and forgot how many calories I can burn this way! Especially when using weights. I think even once I'm able to get back on my feet I will continue doing them some days…
  • @trooworld - I've had that recipe on my list to try but haven't made it yet. I look forward to trying it. I love most of the skinnytaste recipes. Another good one is the Lasagna Soup. I made it Sunday using the slow cooker method. It was delicious. https://www.skinnytaste.com/lasagna-soup/ I used turkey sausage and…
  • @Sistersue3285 - No need to be embarrassed. I doubt there's anyone participating in this challenge who hasn't been there. My guess would be that it's mostly water weight. I am still working on losing what I gained while I was on vacation for 12 days. Hang in there! You can do this!!
  • Congratulations! Great job!!
  • @Emm_165 WTG logging all your food, even while travelling!
  • Congrats team! WTG winning the challenge for February!!
  • Here's a tip that I learned during my brief foray into WW. It's become my favorite after dinner snack, especially if I need more grams of protein to balance my macros for the day. Mix about 3/4 cup of plain non-fat greek yogurt with fruit of choice and about 2 tsp instant pudding mix (flavor of choice). There are so many…
  • @melaniedscott - I am no longer tracking my steps. Wanted to let you know so that you won't be waiting for them. Thanks.

  • The older we get the harder it gets to lose. I lost a lot of weight twice by the time I was 40 but was not able to keep it off for more than a few years before starting to regain. Last January at the age of 60 something clicked and I have finally been able to make a lifestyle change that I am determined to maintain…
