my hubby slapped me in the rear (playfully) recently and commented " Your *kitten* is half the size it used to be! I have to aim now!" um... thanks... I think. lol

I am right there with ya! I looked at pictures from las Christmas and was appalled by how HUGE I was at 250 pounds... I looked bloated and miserable... I couldn't do half of the things I used to do with my hubby and boys... hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, etc., because I was so big and would get winded super easily.…

Why wouldn't you? I log any activity that isn't part of my daily routine. It takes me an hour to push mow our yard, so yeah I log it. I also log shoveling snow, and cleaning my house more than the normal routine. I even log cooking for the family if it's a meal that requires more than the usual effort. Anything that burns…

Mybe I'm missing something, but isn't the point of using MFP to change the way you eat to begin with? why wait? Why do you need an idea of what you are eating? For me, once I was truly ready to start my weight loss journey, I knew I was eating too much and needed to change immediately. I didn't need to have any baseline to…

I've lost aar old girl... sorry, no pics cuz that would be creepy since I don't have any daughters.

Looks divine... I bet we could cut the calories down even farther by using 1/2 cup half & half and 1/2 cup skim milk, and by using fat free cream cheese. Also to the person who asked about the bacon, I think the picture is showing pork bacon, but I bet turkey would be even healthier... Or maybe use just really lean ham…

Not even close... I use my scale rfaithfully.

We have a close out grocery store in our area that carries overstocks, closeout, and things that might be close to or a bit past the "best used by" date, and sells them at deep deep discounts. Alot of those foods, especially dired goods like pasta, rice, cereal, etc are just fine well past that date as long as they are…

I tried the Atkins diet... It was more expensive than just watching my portions, which is how I've lost weight this time. I had to be ALOT more concientious about carb content and grocery shop with that in mind vs how I regularly shop. Plus I became borderline homicidal without carbs which would have added to my costs once…

MFP has made those other diets obsolete in my opinion. Why spend butt-loads of $ on plans that do the same thing I can do here for free? Plus, on alot of those other diets, you often see folks gain back the weight as soon as they go off them, mainly because it wasn't a lifestyle change.

Walking back to our car from a football game, I SPRINTED up a short hill. Seriously, I don't run unless something with lots of hair and pointy teeth is chasing me.

I think he was well intentioned, but it was handled poorly on his part. I think I would have also said "I appreciate your offer, but I have already started a program of my own choosing and am already seeing results." And left it at that.

Good luck to you on your journey. And I'm not gonna lie, you've got a long journey ahead of you. But don't look at it as a whole, just take it one step at a time. Lots of good advice to be had here, and lots of BS too. The basics are this though... 1. Weigh, measure and log EVERYTHING you put in your mouth. 2. Move more.…

My upbringing was DEFINITLY a big part of my old eating habits... I grew up Mennonite. In Texas. Mexican food. Need I say more? haha Potatoes, meat, bread, rice, beans, pasta, desserts, carbs, carbs, carbs, CARBS!!!!! Plus in our family the kids didn't serve themselves until we were at least teenagers, and you were…

Well, I'm gonna have to leave this group... why? Because my Dr told me wednesday that I am only 10-15 pounds from what my healthy goal weight should be. So 20 pounds would be too much. That being said, I'm SUPER proud of my progress so far, and I know you wonderful guys and gals can do it! Good luck everyone!

People are asshats. You are NOT A FATTY. You are a work in progress. Don't let one dill-hole get you down. He was probly on his way back to his mom's basement to watch porn and eat Cheetos.

People who throw their cash at me one bill at a time when I'm taking their payments where I work... I am NOT a HOOKER or a STRIPPER. DO NOT THROW YOUR CASH AT ME. Sorry not seen on MFP, but it still drives me NUTS.

My first thought was "1000lb club??? There's a club now for the super morbidly obese???" Then I read more... Wow. Impressive. Do you have a job or do you just spend every waking moment in the gym? Or maybe you work at the gym... which is very convenient for workign out I would imagine. Either way... Kudos to you for the…

Sounds like maybe you're stuck in a rut. Have you thought about changing up your routine a little? If you are working out alone you might want to consider joining a class of some sort one day a week. Having some activity to look forward to has helped me when my motivation wanes. Or just set some time aside each week to do…

Um... my wedding reception was a potluck... We had both been married before, and didn't need anything for our home. We just wanted people to come and enjoy our day with us. We also didn't have alot of funds for a catered affair, nor are we the snooty catered affair type people, so we just casually spread the word that we…

I have PCOS & endometriosis as well... Not sure why some folks have so much trouble losing weight with it, but I know it's real for some. Thankful, I havent' had any serious issue with that side of the disease. Add me if you want another PSO-sis

Don't get on it until you are 10000000% sure it has dropped. Then it won't seem so scary. Sounds like since your clothes are fitting better that you have probly lost weight already. I would do some measurements now though. That way you can track your progress with something besides the scale... afterall, we all know scales…

Water water water.... And if you NEED to eat something try some carrot sticks, or low fat popcorn. Both are high in fiber and help curb cravings.

I am usually up no later than 6 am. I rarely eat breakfast. It's usually a cup of coffee and go. But I do typically have a little snack around 9:30 or 10 am. This morning it was fat free cottage cheese and a tablespoon of blackberry jam. SOOOO yummy. I was BADGERED by a friend about not eating breakfast this weekend. They…

                1. Take it one day at a time. Weigh, measure and LOG everything you eat. FAITHFULLY. the more you do it, the easier it gets. 2. Set easaily attainable goals. Don't look at the total amount you want to lose, look at each pound individually if you need to. It's much easier to lose 1 pound quickly than it is to lose 100.…

The only thing I cut out was the BIG serving spoon! I eat almost everything I used to eat, just MUCH smaller portions. When you start denying yourself the foods you like, you are more likely to cheat and fail. Allow yourself a little. Eat to live, not live to eat.
