I will find a workout and calorie limit that allows me to maintain (whatever that turns out to be) Maybe I will reduce the number of day I work out and increase the calorie intake a bit until I find the perfect balance to mantain a goal weight. P.S. ELMM means Eat Less Move More.

When you have a lot ot lose (like I do) its different than 51 pounds for a person who only needs to lose 51 pounds. This loss was just 14% of my excess weight, yours would be 100% of your excess weight in 10 weeks.

I am under the care of Several folks and in a pre-diabetes class that meets weekly. Not one professinal has even suggested that eating less and working out is making me unhealthy. To the contrary.

I have detailed what I have been doing a few posts into this thread. If you want to friend me to see my food tracker and workouts, feel free,. Its the ELMM plan (Eat Less Move More) Its not secret or anything but taking in fewer calories and working out more.

Thanksgiving is just the biggest meal at deer camp. I never really considered it a real holiday (such as a religious holiday) We don’t observe it as we would other holidays but we do have a big meal. Im not going to let it ruin my plans for a healthy livestyle.

Some people got all animated and nasty when I created this thread stating that I lost 39 pounds in 7 weeks. Some were so goofy as to claim I was lying about my weight loss. Some said Im losing to much, too fast. This week, I cut back a little on exercise and only lost 2 pounds. That’s 41 pounds in 8 weeks.

Yes, I know but Real PB is very very high in fat. Even good fat is fat. Im averaging about 35 grams of fat per day on a 1500 cal a day diet and 4 Tbsp. of real PB (enough to make a sandwich) is 32 grams or about an entire days worth of fat. I never eat back my workout calories. I eat just under 1500 cals a day but some days I may work off 900 cals but leave them in the bank.

I was 364 pounds to begin with so I have plenty to lose. Ive lost only 9% of my weight in 7 weeks. That does not seem so much. As I said, Im eating well and not starving by any means.

This is all being done with the consent of my PCP and the diabetes life coach (im taking weekly classes) and the fitness center I attend. Ive got 164 pounds to loose. I don’t expect this sort of loss every week. One look at my last 7 weeks of meal as detailed here would show that I am eating well (just less).

Im eating great and healthy and lots of variety and not suffering or hungry. Im taking no pills or gimicks. Just eating less and working out more.

Nor do you have to. Im just reporting my results. You not buying it does not mean I didnt lose 39 pounds in 7 weeks. Im working out 3 days a week and each time burning about 750 cals. Im eating less and excercising more and have a lot to lose so its coming off fast in the begining.
