Thanks to the "Olivia Method" (you'll see some posts and a group on here) I am now eating between 1500-2000 calories a day and LOSING....I was at 1200 according to MFP. It's great for people who don't have tons left to lose.... I am just under 5'8" and weigh 146....

yes I would eat at least your BMR even if it means a 350-400 deficit and just make up for it with a 600-700 another day...that's my two cents worth and what I am looking to do...this is a new way of eating for me but so far I am blown away by this method...can't imagine what a full month will look like...I feel like I am…

I haven't heard of any of those restaurants besides Ruby Tuesdays...but heck...I'm from Nebraska :) The great thing is you are planning ahead and working out some good choices. Tomorrow is my 11th anniversary and we are going to dinner so I googled the restaurant menu and am working on what to choose as well....let us know…

I'm not quite done yet, but I want you to know I totally understand. I am working on focusing on the positive aspects of my body and that's hard for me. I am lower than I've been in 11 years...down to where I was before kids, and I still analyze my body in every way shape and form and find things wrong with it. I am…

My "day one Olivia Method" weight is 148.0. I fiddled around w my settings and numbers last week and started eating more (I wasn't eating BMR) but hadn't weighed. I'll be reporting back on Monday's.

thanks for sharing your story! Another reminder that i need to focus on how clothes fit and inches lost rather than freaking about the scale all the time...hard to do sometimes, but I am trying! Gonna take a look at that book too!

I was a 34C before kids....ginormous during pregnancy and nursing (5 years of nursing)...am down to losing the last few pounds and am a 34DD....weird.

NIce hat!

I was 255 after my last baby....hovered around 232 for a while....then 219....then stayed between 185-195 for a long time....that part really wasn't a plateau as much as just not doing what I needed to do to lose....got stuck at 172, 167....then 155 for a while...currently around 148 and been here for a bit as…

I'll add you :) Best of luck to you on your journey!

Looking forward to hearing more answers on this...I had four c-sections within 5.5 years....last baby was 10 lbs 13 oz....hoping that toning helps!

I adjusted my settings a couple days ago and am enoying looking at the green number. I've been off from the gym for a little bit and start back up Monday morning (due to some obligations the next couple days). I plan to post my weight on here Monday, and then we'll see how it goes. I am down to the last 6-10 pounds or so,…

Thank you for posting this and for everyone's great replies. I've never been officially diagnosed, but I a known struggle with being in a funk during the winter months. Love the holidays of course and my birthday and anniversary are both in December so I have lots to celebrate! However I just said to my husband earlier…

I loved the book as well. I and I loved how nothing is off limits with her. Sure she tries to make healthy choices often, but she has dessert and all the other things she enjoys in moderation. Being a mother of four, I find my favorite tip is the eat nothing taste everything. I can order a side salad at a restaurant, and…

I'm going to start now! Just tallied it all up and it comes to 85 calories a day...might make a difference in the long run!

I am due to renew in December (it's been 5 years!) and am excited to have a new picture where I look like a totally different person...and to be excited to write my exact weight down :) ...lol! Good job!!

Olivia, One more thing...do you eat the extra exercise calories back even if your deficit or "remaining" isn't at 1000 yet? For example, my BMR is 1411, so that times 1.3 is 1834 which is what I set MFP calories at. I'm going to aim to eat around 1450 on days I don't exercise and 1500 (up to 1600) on days when I workout.…

Olivia, Forgive me if you have answered this already in either post as I've been reading back and forth in both....but I am curious how much you've lost since incorporating the "Olivia Method" (love the name btw) into your plan? I remember you mentioning something about losing well originally, then having a bumpy ride down…

I am IN! And excited!

so I am gathering that you all would say not to worry about being "stuck" for 5-10 days every once in a while

I absolutely love this! I do it once a week with a personal trainer. The above posts are correct, you will work muscles you didn't know you had. I can see significant results already. I have done 5 or 6 sessions so far. Will do it once a week indefinitley.
