The problem with snow in the UK is it melts and re freezes into ice very quickly, and we don't have the infrastructure to keep pavements clear. I'm planning to hit the treadmill if it's icy or snowy, it's not worth falling over and getting injured

Life's too short! Move more, a bike ride, a long run or just walk more, then enjoy dinner and a cocktail or two if you like ;) Develop a preference for the surprisingly low calorie martini, stay away from overly sugary or fattening drinks like juice or milk based cocktails.

Have you changed your diet in addition to monitoring calories? It is possible that a change of diet has exposed your body to a food intolerance you were unaware of. I'd recommend logging the pain as well as calories. Check for any correlation between the food you eat and the pain you experience. You can then take this to…

I have had horrendous migraines from hot yoga, and have given up on it because I cannot go through the pain and neurological symptoms again. I occasionally get migraines from running (proper aura, throwing up, pain, slurring words migraine, rather than headache. I worked out it was a combination of flickering sunlight on…

Add in plant based protein powder , maybe mash it up with that morning banana?

I make meals that have separate components that can be linked together. So if we're having spaghetti bol, I make pasta and mince for dh, a veggie sauce for both of us, courgette noodles for me. Pretty straightforward really. I very rarely make 2 completely separate meals, and when I do it's because one of us is eating…

Nutruya unflavoured hemp protein for me. Then I can mix it up with flavours and make it taste of whatever I want

Just done a Google following the thyroid post and think the docs is in order if it doesn't go away soon - didn't realise salt craving and exhaustion were signs of adrenal problems and I'm asthmatic and at risk of adrenal crisis from my inhalers. Hoping it's just dehydration, but should probably get checked out :(

I was brought up to cook and eat low salt (congenital heart problems in family which luckily I don't have) so I've not consciously cut down. I've always been taught that there's enough salt in food without ever needing to add more.

I used to have it in water every day, but it burned my throat and I lost my voice for several weeks until I figured out what the problem was.

I'd keep the avocado and remove the coconut milk from your porridge. Maybe replace it with hemp protein powder for low calories but filling porridge.

Oh yes, forgot about that. I also take my reliever (blue) before exercise. I'm exercise-triggered, but find once I settle into a breathing rhythm, any asthma symptoms settle. I think my asthma reacts to the deeper breaths I take in the first few minutes of cardio work. The reliever makes those initial breaths easier, and…

Go to your doctor and have an asthma review. It sounds like your preventer regime needs to be reviewed and changed. I had a crisis in November and was changed from beclometasone to Seretide, and the difference has been amazing, I feel like I've got a whole new set of lungs! There's a lot of treatment possibilities out…

Are you eating the right things? You should eat a balance of protein, carbs and fat. If you feel like you're getting over-full eating the amount of calories you are, you can try adding in some sneaky healthy fat. Oil is very good for this, a slug of olive oil over a salad will increase the calories and get some "good" fats…

I don't think diet is the issue here. In fact, your post is very worrying to me. I think you need to seek some help about your body image *before* going down the dieting road. Can you get an appointment to see your GP or does your employer offer counselling services you could access to discuss your body image issues?

I had quite severe and unpleasant IBS-D including severe lactose intolerance and mild gluten intolerance. I found two things that really helped 1 - a teaspoonful of Manuka honey every morning. This was recommended by my nurse, as apparently manuka honey is good for healing damaged stomach lining and calmin irritation 2.…

I disagree, I think people have different frames and builds. I freely admit that I'm overweight, but I'm also taller than average and naturally stronger than average. Since I was young, I've been able to lift more than other girls and I've had a few accidents where people have been very suprised I've not broken bones, but…

I've had this too. I started using this https://www.lush.co.uk/product/136/Dream-Cream-Hand-and-Body-Lotion and it seemed to really calm the skin. Also, and this is going to sound abit weird, try shaving or depilating in the affected areas. I find my legs get very sore when I exercise if they are stubbly, think it's…

Tonic water works for me as a nice substitute, not sweet and very adult-tasting, especially with a small dash of Bitters or a slice. Served in a proper glass with ice, too. But then V&T's are my personal diet downfall!

Carbohydrate rich foods tend to be some of the most calorie-dense, which is why they get a bad name. It is far easier to over-eat with carbs than it is with other food groups - e.g. one pitta bread, a not unreasonable portion, is 160 kcal. Try eating 160 kcal in celery or lettuce in one sitting! But ultimately, it's all…
