  • Unfortuantely, I don't think many of the people telling you to give it time realize that your condition is medical and no amount of crunches, lifting a core strengthening will change it. Your muscles literally are seperated, not connected, therefore you cannot work your way into a flater stomach. The skin will continue to…
  • Honestly it really depends on the person. Depo is awful. My GYN wouldn't put anyone on it and only if they had tried everything else because she said the weight gain and problems she had with her patients were not worth it. I have a friend who was on it so long and got pregnant while on it. It caused alot of pregnancy…
  • Man do I know how you feel. Lately, I have noticed more my love handles on my lower stomach. They seemed to be bothering me more and felt worse. But my upper stomach has definetly trimmed up. So as someone else said, I think when we are heavier the fat all over out stomach kind of creates this even padding. When you start…
  • I am surprised if they did appropriate measuring and markings how it wasn't taken in better to fit your new figure. That being said, I love the way your dress flows. It is very pretty on you. I really agree with the sash idea. Maybe a color that matches your colors. I myself am getting married in 13 days. I went in 4 weeks…
  • I think you are cutting too much. There is alot of debate about 1200 calories being starvation mode but I won't get into that. I do see somedays you eat even less then that. You really should not go below 1200. When you are not eating enough calories for your body to function (feed your heart, kidneys, lungs etc) your body…
  • This sounds to me more like someone who loves you but might have his own self esteem issues which maybe why he prefers bigger women. The more weight you lose and the healthier you get, along with your time away from home, in his mind may leave you open to catch someone elses eye. Especially at the gym. I think sitting down…
  • When you first start to work out it is not uncommon to gain weight at first. You need to give your muscles time to rest. There is no need to exercise 17 days in a row. My guess is with as much as you are working out and as little as you are eating your body is completely freaked out and holding onto everything. Are you…

  • I am on Level 2, Day 2. I had to take a 3 day break due to illness. But I am back at it. Level 2 is a good workout and make me push myself but it wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be. I really prepared myself for hell and got myself pumped up for it. I can feel it in my thighs and stomach but its not bad at all.
  • bummpity bump bump
  • This is exactly why I only weigh myself once every 2-3 weeks. I can fluctuate as much at 5 lbs any given day. Curry is high in sodium so I imagine that has alot to do with it. Recently, I ate alot of sodium one day and the scale showed it for several days. If it is about that TOM the scale goes up for a good week until…
  • I finished Level 1, Day 9 last night. Depending on how I feel after work today (since I wake up at 3:30 a.m. on saturdays) I will complete Level 1 today, if not today, definetly tomorrow. I am starting to notice a change in my arms and stomach.
  • If he starts to message you, text you. I would ignore him. Wait until your are in better control on your emotions. You are so young and deserve more then this. This is the counselor in me and I remember being your age and doing this back and forth and back and forth with my now ex husband. I was your age and all about him…
  • I say cut off all ties. I went through something like this was my now fiance. When we first got together (hindsight here) neither one of us was really ready to be in a relationship yet. He was leaving bad marriage and really just wasn't ready. He really liked me but was confused. He of course didn't tell me this. He really…
  • You might be doing too much too fast. Or it may be your form when your running. Running is high impact. Or you have bad knees. When I first started running, I hurt my knee and had to lay off of running for a few months and do lower impact excercises like the bike, elliptical and let my knee heal. If you get back at it too…
  • There is a saying. Something like no matter how good she looks a guy somewhere is sick of her ****.. I have a friend dating an amazing guy and hopefully they will be married soon. His soon to be ex wife is crazy!! and it has taken almost 4 years to get divorced. Throw in his orders out of country and her contact stalling..…
  • First, stop focusing on the number on a scale. The scale can fluctuate greatly. Also take into account body fat and inches. I have had periods where the scale stayed the same but I lost 4 inches. I personally like TDEE - 20%. I do mine at lightly active which at 165 lbs puts me at 1692 calories. But there are days I eat as…
  • Meant to add that when I was in a flare it was soo bad I honestly had no desire or ability to exercise. When I am having minor to moderate flares I try to stick with low impact strength training and walking. Otherwise, like right now I am doing the 30 DS. I just pay close attention to my body. If I wake up with swollen and…
  • I haven't officially been diagnosed with lupus but I had a major "flare" in 2011 and am still in the diagnosis process. Right now I only take Mobic for joint pain/inflammation as needed. I am prescribed it everyday but noticed it did stall out weight loss and made me bloated if I took it everyday. When I was on sterioids I…
  • You have MFP confused with TDEE. MFP takes into account you eating back exercise calories. TDEE incorporates your activity level into the calories. Go to: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ and calculate your TDEE. Put in your current weight and your goal weight as your current weight as well. When you get to the next…
  • Getting married June 23rd of this year. Less then 2 months away! I have lost about 10 lbs and lots of inches since December/january. I am doing the 30 DS right now and focusing on toning vs losing weight. I am pretty happy with my body other then my belly so I am focusing on slow fat loss and toning. I will be scheduling…
  • If your TDEE is 2243 -20% would be 1795. Not sure if you calculated that on sedentary or lightly active. But if on lightly active then you DON'T eat back exercise calories. They are already calculated into your calories. For instance, I eat 1700 calories a day and currently weigh rougly 165 lbs. I rarely work out on that…
  • I just finished day 2 of level 1. I am a little sore but not too bad. The cardio isn't too hard for me but I was a runner up until hurting my knee about 6-8 weeks ago. The strength trianing is the hardest for me. I can do some push ups normal then the girl kind. I am excited to see the end results. I have lost about 10 lbs…
  • LEAVE ASAP! This is the beginning stages of an abusive relationship. His goal is to isolate you, kill your self esteem and make you think you are not deserving of anything better. He tells you he isn't wanting a serious relationship because then it is an excuse for him to talk to other women and when he leaves or cheats he…
  • I am getting married June 23, 2013. So in about 2 months. I bought my dress to fit me now (well back in january) as to not put pressure on myself. I have lost about 9 lbs since december and lots of inches but I am going about is slowly so it will last. I had to buy a size 16 to fit my bust but it was already too big in the…
  • I call bull crap on his part. If you are the same weight that you were when you first got together then I don't see how now all of a sudden he is not physically attracted to you. I will share with you that I have an insane sex drive. And it has caused problems with me and my fiance. Now, I would never let it go 4 months…
  • Get one with a strap for your chest. I have a Polar HRM. The most I have burnt is 45 minutes on the treadmill and it was some intense intervals and running at a speed of as high at 7.0 was 545 calories. The over 800 does seem pretty high. and actually, when i wear my HRM it seems like the treadmill picks it up because the…
  • I say if you had fear there was a reason for it. It's what instincts are for. The few times I ignored my instincts I ended up getting myself into a tought spot to get out of. So, it sounds like you did the right thing.
  • I am getting married June 23, 2013 on the beach. I got my dress several months back, I think in january. I had to get a size 16 to fit my chest. It was already getting to be taken in in some areas such at the waist, hips. Since then I have lost probably 4-5 lbs but a good 4 inches in my hips alone and 2-3 inches in my…
