yes it is true because when you just run on a treadmill you are doing nothing more then picking your feet up and down and the treadmill is doing all the work. If you did the same motion out side you would be running in place. So when you set the incline up then your legs have to work harder to keep you on the treadmill.…

I am also doing Nike+. I will have to check out the website and hopefully I can get an answer for you. I am also working on a 5k run. I will look and see what I can find.
