Agreed. I've been a vegetarian for eight years, but I struggle with bingeing mostly with junk food. If you can adopt and maintain a whole food, plant-based diet... I think you'd be golden!

I'd like friends, please! Starting with a clean slate, and motivation is completely welcomed!

Hello, friends!!! I'm, once again, back on MFP. I have been on and off for years. Something hit me two weeks ago, and I had to scream "Enough!" Definitely looking for motivational friends. Add me!

Dave, welcome and congratulations on your success thus far! I WILL lose the extra 100 lbs I am carrying around. Anyone and everyone, feel free to add me as a friend. I would love to give encouragement as well as receive. :)

Same here. I travel with my tea can and honey to tackle any sweet cravings. Now that I am at a desk job, the cravings are more often (or I just notice them more). Plus, there is just something about hot beverages that just soothe me! Have a wonderful day, everyone.

I'm going to have to add some of you supportive people!

I love my bum, thicker legs, lips, eyes, and long curly hair!

Hello there! Add me if you'd like a new MFP friend. :)

I'm a 25 year old nurse. I work loooong hours, but it's worth it. :) I'm looking for more motivational friends! Add me! Oh, I'm single as well. ;)

Congratulations!

I sprained my ankle pretty bad a few years back. I wish I had just broken it instead! Mine still gives me fits. I agree with strength training during your little break. :) PLEASE don't push yourself. I did. And I totally paid for it! I hope your sprain heals fast! Good luck with your journey.

I think my nutrition professor said that you could freeze them. It helps with the fish burps! I take flaxseed oil capsules, and I've found that if I take them at night, I don't go through that icky taste during the day.

Oh. My. Gosh. I'm so sorry. That's horrible. Filing a complaint is a really good idea...and checking to see if his license is legit!

Glad you're here!

I agree. If you are drinking a lot of water as well, you may be diluting the sodium in your blood or you could have some sort of hypotonic dehydration. It can make you feel dizzy! BUT there can be a lot of reasons for your dizziness (as stated above). I'd see a physician and maybe get some blood work done.

I believe it is ok if what you are putting in is what you're putting out. You may want to see your physician... especially if this is affecting your daily activities.

I do. It makes me feel better and sometimes helps with the cramping. :)

I would first go to food sources since it is a more natural way to get potassium. Avocado, bananas, cantaloupe, carrots, fish, mushrooms, oranges, potatoes, pork, beef, raisins, spinach, strawberries, and tomatoes are some common sources. But, if you choose to take an oral potassium supplement, don't on an empty stomach.…

I like your suggestion!

Uh oh! I fell into that temptation today and feel absolutely horrible about it! I can usually get past by either remembering how I felt the last time I caved in or become preoccupied in something else. Drinking a tall glass of water helps me too. As far as motivation goes... are the sweets honestly worth it? I agree with…

Aww. Thank you so much for posting this! It is so much easier to focus on the negative! I am trying to find a job, which IS stressful as I am sure you know, but I made this commitment to myself to adopt a healthier lifestyle. I'm tired of putting my health last! You ARE worth it! Keep the positivity up!

I usually will drink a glass of water or wash the dishes when I am craving something. Strange, yes, but effective for me. Ha ha. I just got out of college, so there is a lot of time that was once occupied that I have to accept for. I agree with rahx27 on remembering why you want to be healthier and using that as your…

WONDERFUL JOB! Thank you for the motivational push!

I am pretty new to this site as well! I have been trying to reach out to some of my friends for motivation, but I have no takers. Ha ha. I have been really trying to stay honest with keeping up with eating healthier and exercising, but another push would be so helpful!
