I too am not a group, but had my sleeve surgery almost 3 years ago if you have any questions or want to add me :)

You look healthier, younger..just fantastic!

To the idiot that thinks it is ONLY weight related...my grandmother is an Olympic athlete, was in the Senior Olympics for years and is even in a book- is the most athletic, fit, healthy woman I know. My father (her son) has recently been diagnosed and is just as fit and healthy as she is. As for myself..All of the years I…

So do we just come back to this thread every Saturday morning and type our weight in? Or, is there already a group?

I am in :) My goal is to lose 24 pounds by Christmas, that way I am finally under 200 pounds. LET'S DO THIS!!! Good luck guys!

Quite a few people have messaged me and asked me how I lost almost 80 pounds..so I figure I will explain. 2 years ago I had a bariatric surgery. In the first year, 50 pounds just literally fell off of my 300 pound body. However, this last year, I have had to exercise and work very hard at keeping my calories under my goal…

Thanks again to everyone :) I guess I should have put my loss in the title instead of what I have left to go because people have been asking, but as of today I have lost almost 80 pounds. I would like to get around 40-45 more off.

July 2011 that is! :)

I am not sure if you can see it, but my hair is crazy curly in my July drivers license photo.

Thank you. My hair is crazy kinky naturally curly, and I have decided to straighten it daily now..it is just a younger cut/shade/style for me. Everyone that knows me of course says they miss my curls, but true to someone with natural curly hair, I am tired of it and want it straight!

Thanks to everyone :) and GOOD LUCK on your journey's!

Yes, slowly chugging along for sure. It just creeps, but at least it is moving down instead of up! I do wish it would move a tad bit faster though.

Thanks so much for all the kind words :) I am trying really hard to get to where I want to be by next May so I can ROCK 40 years old!!!

Thank you :)

Thanks for all the ideas! I think I will try the microwave method next. Maybe it will be a bit less crunchy :)
-
The first time I made it, I made some homemade turkey meatballs and paired it with a roasted red pepper sauce and it was delish (kinda crunchy..but I ate it anyways..). Last night, I roasted some garlic, sautéed some onions and threw some of the weight watchers cheddar triangle cheese (like laughing cow cheese) in it and…

I cooked mine at 375 for 1 hour and 10 minutes...still seemed kind of crunchy. Is that just the way it is and I am expecting it to be a bit softer, like pasta? Maybe I have been making it right the entire time but expecting something different :)

Joint account since we got married 17 years ago..never thought to have it any other way...works perfectly.

I have considered it, I had my sleeve surgery almost 2 years ago and am thinking it needs to be smaller, or something. I have lost 70 pounds with 55 more to go and haven't lost a thing in over 6 months which is why I started mfp. I also need to go back to eating low carb.
-
I had a Starbucks Caramel Ribbon Frapp for breakfast....I obviously eat/drink what I want. However, I have been wanting this darn frapp for weeks, and I finally gave in this morning. Now, I just have to work in a healthy lunch/dinner so that I don't go over my calories :) Feel free to add me. Good luck to you on your…

I have lost an Irish Setter :D

So true- I spent many of years looking at success stories all over the internet before I finally decided enough was enough, and that I needed to get busy so I could have my own pictures!

Thanks you guys! Yes, my driver's license was taken in July 2011, 2 months before my surgery. It is crazy, because either most people don't remember me looking like that, or if I see people now that I haven't seen in a year or so, they just don't believe it. I have naturally curly hair, and have always had it long...once I…

I am trying to do 3 sets of 50 sit-ups (different ways..leg lifts, actual sit-ups, crunches) then I can only do like 3 sets of 10 girlie push-ups. Babysteps!

in all honesty, what I do the most is just walking, usually an hour a night. I slacked off during the Christmas break, and am actually JUST getting back into the habit this evening with a friend. I had the surgery in September of 2011, and didn't do any exercise at all for basically the first 8-10 months..then went ahead…
