Congrats on your first half and for having the aspirations to do a whole next year! I have run 3 halves with my best time so far being 2:11. I am signed up to run the full marathon in New Orleans this February. I don't really have a time goal, just to finish without cramping too bad or getting sick...haha.. But, my coaches…

This is absolutely ridiculous...Just sayin. What are you using as the definition of the word "count" here? If you swallow liquid, it's water that goes into your body...YES, it adds water to your body, therefore it "counts" and it hydrates your body. Caffiene (especially a small amount) is not a strong enough diuretic to…

My apologies...I would never want to insult anyone whose been institutionalized.

And you feel the need to post your ...cough...cough..."credentials" at the end of all your posts, Why?? Puuuleeeezzzz... Get an actual degree and license (of any sort) and then brag about it.

My dog is a strict Paleo...Although, he has been known to cheat on his diet with underwear and greasy tinfoil.

Coffee and tea absolutely count towards hydration (ie: water intake). The diuretic effect of the caffeine is not nearly enough to cancel out the hydration effect of the water content.

Does every person that smokes get lung cancer or COPD?? No. That should explain it. However, I am not saying that MIO causes ADHD either.

"Lactulose"? I believe that is a medication used to treat constipation. I think you mean lactose.

Give it to someone.

BMI (Body Mass Index)is not a %age....It is a ratio of weight/height. It is not associated with body fat %. You might want to have your body fat measured and work on losing body fat in order to be able to see ab definition.

LOVE them! Just make sure the leaves are good and dry before you toss them with the oil and bake them or they won't crisp up well before they burn.

I gave up bread once...I was very young at the time...15 years later it showed up at my door asking for money.

What do you mean you eat all "the" steak? You eat all what steak?

For titling your post with one of the BEST movie lines in history....I applaud you. :) Feel free to add me.

Yeah...She is way off with that. For starters, protein provides 4 cals per gram, not 9. That's just for starters. What are her credentials?
-
Ditto. And, if you have been to "several nutritionalists" that may be the issue, as there is no such word/title or credential as "nutritionAList". Might want to check the credentials of the people you have seen.

I have an extremely low tolerance for idiocy.

Fill up on high protein foods and the cravings will subside within a day or two. If you give in to the cravings, they will just repeat. Eat plenty of healthy protein, fats, and high fiber plant based carbohydrates and the cravngs for processed carbs (ie: sweets) will go away.

Not sure what your pain is stemming from, but it's certainly not "bone pain". Your bones don't have nerve endings and therefore do not cause pain directly. Eating more calcium or iron is most likely not the answer. Maybe you should see your doctor about the pain you are feeling if you don't feel it is explainable.

Eating sweets (as well as other processed carbs) feeds the craving for sweets. It's the hormonal chain reaction caused by the sharp rise is blood glucose, causeing a sharp release of insulin from the pancreas, a rush of adrenaline from the pituitary, along with endorphine production (ie: you feel good) If you stop eating…

Yes...I like your attitude. ;)

Best advise I've ever read.... "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants." -Michael Pollan, In Defense of Food

What? Since when are white rice and white bread high in saturated fats??

Agreed. Varying your calorie intake over the course of the week with a couple of low cal days and a couple of high cal days is perfectly normal and is more in line with how people will eat naturally if not counting cals or pre-planning meals. This can be a healthy and viable method for both weight management and balancing…
