I can't believe it is already the end of January. I am thinking of doing a dry February to see how it will effect my results. I am half way through the first month of my workout program so I will work hard on improving my performance every workout. I have a goal of one day being able to do a pull up but have no way to do…

This week is flying by. I am finding the evenings much easier this week than last week. Now that I have gotten use to not eating in the evenings, I rarely get hungry anymore. It is true that feeling hungry from time to time isn't a bad thing and we have to decide when we are truly hungry as opposed to just mentally hungry…

Good job! Learning to eat intuitively is a skill that will make losing weight as well as maintenance easier. Taking that break to see how you feel in between is a great strategie and I think I might try it. I eat far too fast and I know it isn't good for me. Thanks for the great idea.

Sorry I have been absent. I had an assignment do today and my husband who is away during the week for school comes home on the weekends so I was pretty busy. I still did my scheduled workouts and trying my best to stick to my eating plan. I did have a couple glasses of wine on Saturday and some indulgences. The weekends…

Welcome to the group. This will be your year. I feel everything in life gets better when you decide to take care of yourself and do what is best for your health. I am sure it is challenging with extra diet restrictions. I have a major sweet tooth as well so feel your pain there. It is about moderation and sustainable…

I just read through most posts and love the support everyone is giving each other. We can definately reach our goals with each others motivation. I had a good day but feel my worst time for food is between 4 and 6. I come home hungry and have to really control myself or else I end up bringing on random snacks and I mean…

This is what I do as well and it does help a lot. Plus I am a doodler. I make a monthly calendar with all my workouts and then I highlight each one as I do it and put weight range for lifting sessions. It really feels great to see the month highlighted at the end. Great job!! Walking is still a great exercise though! Great…

@msarobixmsarobix I can't have excessively sweet anything since changing my eating habits. My stomach just cries lol. I get really nauseous and crash. I still like the odd desert but I prefer to keep my liquids sugar free as it hits me much harder. Also if you aren't use to the cream in those coffee drinks, that also…

So I wrote a long message with responses and I accidentally deleted it. Such is life. I wanted to share my practice for staying motivated. I use a bullet journal. I put everything in it; my weekly goals, progress photos, track my weights progression, I add inspirational quotes every week and make boxes to color in as I…

I would love to join this challenge. I need extra accountability to keep on track. I have been on and off my fitness pal since 2016 and have succeeded in losing 73 pounds. I have gone so close to my goal weight only to fall off track and put on 5 to 8 pounds. I am now 13 pounds from my goal weight and want 2019 to be the…

I want to join. I have come within 5 pounds of my goal weight and then gain 6 to 8 pounds. It takes me a couple months to get back to where I was only to creep back up. I also have gained lost 60 to 70 pounds 3 times since my teen years so I really must stay strict. I want this year to be the year I reach my goal weight…

In the past I always gained weight back after losing a large amount because I somehow forgot the principal of cico and let my calories slowly creep up over time and activity lever down. But now I feel I have a handle on it. I do weigh myself regularly and have a 5 pound range. If I ever hit the top end I start tracking…

I only ate cucumbers and carrots until past 15. Then only developed a love for peppers at 22. Now I am 37 and I love all of them except raw onions (texture thing). I can't imagine a meal without a variety of veggies raw or cooked.

For me it is social eating for sure. I am very disciplined at home but put me at a party or potluck and I have almost no control. However I have learned to do things to help me navigate these occasions. I will eat less during the day to have room to splurge and I only grab a bit of the things I really want and most of all…

My goal is between 150 and 155. I am in no rush to get there. I find I have been able to feel more satisfied with a small deficit. If it takes me another year to lose 10 pounds I would still be very happy. Great job on your weight loss!!

I am still learning how to upload photos but here is the starting photo when i was topping the scale at 235 in September of 2016. I lost most of the weight in the first year and have been working on the last 10 or so pounds for the last few months. I am happy where I am and love seeing the progress in my body in and out.…

I have lost close to 70 pounds so far and it does get so muh easier as you lose and build strength and stamina. I still remember feeling like I was going to die those first workouts. I started by forcing myself to do 30 minutes a day and then added specific goals as I got more fit. I look forward to my workouts and…

I have lost 50 to 75 pounds three times in my life. This is my fourth time and I have lost 63 of my 85 pound goal. I gained weight really fast during puberty and found myself at 200 pounds at 13 with high blood pressure. This scared me and I went through very unhealthy measure so lose weight. It was the early 90s and all I…

Mine are 15 inches. Started at 17 but I have never had them smaller than 15. They are mostly muscle and I have learned to embrace them. Thankfully the boot industry has finally learned the value in makING wider calf boots!

Almonds in my cottage cheese with cinnamon and brown sugar. Delicious!!

Like many have said I have battled weight since I was a teenager. But this time I have been at it since September so 10 months and I have lost 60 pounds with 25 to go.

Congrats!! I only have 2 babies but similar story. I am 5,7' and was a whopping 235 pounds after my second. I had lost all the weight and then some with mfp after my first so I knew I would be ok. I am now sitting at 176 and know I will reach my goal with mfp and lifting. You got this!!

I started at 235 after having my second baby. I now weigh 177. I have another 27 pounds to lose.

I went to five guys for the first time when visiting family. Did not know about the place as it was brand new to the area. Of course I stared at the menu like a deer in the headlights looking for the healthiest option and picked the veggie sandwich with nothing on it. I felt pretty proud but boy did the burgers smell good…

Started at 235 and weigh 179 as of this morning

You can add me. I have always worked out at home. I have a large collection of dvds and have invested in beach body on demand which allows me to do my workouts anywhere that has WiFi on my iPad. I am currantly visiting my parents and have done my workouts in random places in the house. I am currently in the 10th week of…

Just keep working on losing fat and eventually it will go. You can't spot reduce and where you lose first is mainly genetics. My love handles were huge at first bUT have reduced quite a bit just by doing some weight training 3 days a week and cardio for 3 as well as a calorie deficit.

I use my heart rate from my fit bit and go on shapesense. My fit bit drastically over estimates calories burned. I'd rather be underestimating my calorie burn than overestimating.
