I've done 6 TM, trail running and lots of hill work are a must. Also, I always wear at least Capri pants and always a long sleeve fitted tech shirt, it will save your knees and elbows. If you have any questions about specific obstacles just ask!

I cannot stand milk, even pouring it for my kids grosses me out, but love yogurt and cheese. Also have to put ice cubes in my coffee when I pour it, but don't like cold coffee or lukewarm coffee, I like to be able to see and eat the ice cubes as I'm drinking it. I also eat candy bars in layers, mmm... Good!

For my first tough mudder I wore my contacts( which I usually don't) and wore a pair of goggles for the mud and water obstacles. Since then I've had LASIK ....best decision ever!

I had them bad when I started running 2 yrs ago. What helped the most was new shoes, I went to a running store and had a gait analysis and they recommended a motion control shoe. I don't know if you have had this done but it saved my shins!

I wear a pair of Brooks Ariels, they have great stability. I'm an overpronator and used to get shin splints and knee pain and my running store recommended them and I'm on my fifth pair!
