Have you been consistently eating below your TDEE?

Water is more dense, so of course a given volume of water will weigh more than the same volume of fat. A gallon is not a unit of mass.

It doesn't really matter what foods you eat or what specific exercises you do. If you want to lose fat you have to eat at a caloric deficit.

I snort lines of it with a rolled up $100 bill.

I would suggest a program like Starting Strength or StrongLifts 5x5. I'm currently doing SL 5x5 and really like it. Avoid the machines and focus on compound movements with free weights.

I'm also gaining. Feel free to add me.

I currently have a 2010 Suzuki SFV650. I've been riding for about 18 years. Last year was the first year I started commuting to work on the bike every day. Can't wait till the nicer weather!

Of course there is malware that targets OS X, but it's not nearly as prevalent and therefore not something Mac users generally need to worry about. You shouldn't agree to install browser plugins when prompted by shady websites on *any* OS.

I think Macs are excellent for home use. The built-in versioning system, automatic backups ("Time Machine"), no worries about viruses or spyware, plus the really good bundled apps like iPhoto, iMovie, etc. are really nice features. If you have a lot of Windows-only apps or are a hardcore gamer, a PC is probably more…

To gain weight, you have to take in more calories than you burn. Use MFP to track your food and exercise and make sure you hit your calorie surplus every day. You'll have to eat back any calories you burn during exercise, so I would suggest reducing the amount of cardio you do and increase the amount of strength training.…

Yup, I'm also using MFP to gain weight. (up 13 pounds so far!) Anyone feel free to add me.
-
Yup, also trying to gain. MFP is a great tool to track calorie surplus, I just wish they'd update the badge/ticker for gainers. When I log in, I'd like to see "xx pounds gained" instead of "0 pounds lost" all the time.

Welcome! There are a bunch of people on here (including myself) who are trying to gain weight. Eating as much as I can at meals, snacking a lot in between and especially before bed has worked for me. Protein shakes are an easy way to get lots of calories and protein to boot. To update your profile, click "Settings" at the…

I'm bulking too. It's sometimes difficult to eat enough to meet high calorie goals, so it's nice to find other gainers to get meal ideas and for motivation. Anyone feel free to add me!

I'm also trying to gain. Feel free to add me! FWIW, there's a Gaining Weight group on here although it's not very active: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/1107-gaining-weight

It's nice to see other people on here who are also trying to gain weight. I also had tried to gain in the past, but failed and just assumed it was because I had a fast metabolism. Now that I'm actually tracking calories I realize that I simply wasn't eating enough. Cutting out cardio and just focusing on lifting weights…

I got my 72-pin connector off eBay, from seller "lukiegames". Mostly just because his shipping to Canada was cheap. I'm sure just about any U.S.-based seller with a good feedback rating would be fine to buy it from though. I also bought the 3.8mm security bit to take apart my NES cartridges to clean them. A pencil eraser…

I just replaced the 72-pin connector in mine a few weeks ago and it made a world of difference. No more blowing on the cartridges! ;)

Awesome, I'm also a fan of the classics. I have a hobby collecting and restoring early 80's dedicated arcade games. (Joust, Pac-Man, Dig Dug, etc.) Lately I've become hopelessly addicted to Left 4 Dead on the PC though. New here, so anyone feel free to add me!

Fellow gainer here. If you have trouble eating a lot, I would start at the low end, maybe 2700 calories/day, and work up from there. I had a hard time meeting my calorie goal (currently 2750) at first. It's really hard to keep eating after you feel full. But your body gets used to eating that much and it becomes much…
