Feel free to add me. I'm very much IIFYM and am lifting weights on a caloric surplus with the goal of bulking a bit over the winter.
-
What does that mean? How many calories in a deficit are you eating?
-
That's impossible. Stress, anxiety, cortisol, etc. is not going to grab energy out of thin air and magically store it as body fat.

Sexism in church? Shocking! “Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or have authority over men; she is to keep silent." - Timothy 2:11 “…the women should keep silence in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says. If there is…

Strength training burns relatively few calories compared to cardio. I only lift, and I personally don't find it any harder to hit my calorie goal on gym days. There's nothing wrong with just wanting to fill out a bit though. It might help to gradually increase your calorie goal instead of suddenly trying to eat way more…

Yes, forever walking through a graveyard in your underwear while being attacked by skeletons. That's the life. ;)

A clock ticking in a quiet room. If I have to sleep in a room that has a loud ticking clock, I need to take the batteries out of it or I can't get to sleep.

Many of the people on my friends list have stopped using MFP, so my news feed is pretty quiet lately. Looking to add a few more active friends. Anyone, feel free to add me.

Swimming and weightlifting? It's going to be very difficult to swim while carrying those heavy weights. I think they would cause you to sink right to the bottom of the pool.

You need a caloric deficit. That's it. Track your calories and make sure you're under your goal every day. It's really that simple. You don't have to cut out specific foods or do specific exercises.
-
That certainly is a long shaft... warranty!
-
How long have you been stuck at your current weight? If it's only been a week or two, just give it more time. If you've stalled for a long time, lower your calorie goal a bit. Your body doesn't need a 'boost' or 'kick', just a modest caloric deficit. Also, it doesn't matter what specific foods you eat. You can have soda…

Yeah, some of the episodes dragged on a bit. It was like watching a soap opera with the occasional zombie. I think it picked up again in the last few seasons though. Lots of action. Can't wait to see the next season.

I immediately thought of Claptrap when I read the thread title. Glad I'm not the only one!

It doesn't matter what specific foods you're eating or even how often you exercise. All that matters is that you have a caloric deficit. There are a lot of missing entries in your diary. If you're not logging everything, you can't be certain you have a caloric deficit.
-
Welcome! Feel free to add me, I'm also bulking and log every day. (577 in a row so far..)

If you just want to put on some fat, then yes, eating a lot without exercise will accomplish that. If you want some of the weight you gain to be muscle, then eat a lot and do resistance training. There are lots of effective body weight exercises - you don't necessarily need a gym.
-
What's your TDEE? To gain muscle you should be eating at a caloric surplus.
-
No, not if she's at a caloric deficit.

Sugar is not a toxin that you need to rid your body of. (not that detoxes actually do that anyway) What exactly are you trying to do?
-
Sweating does not remove toxins from your body. That is a silly myth.
-
I'm having a hard time discerning which of these 'detox' posts today are sarcastic April Fool's jokes and which ones are sincere.
-
From the website: "It is a four-phase diet that starts out with a natural detox phase to clean impurities out of the system." Seems legit. Edit: ^ acg beat me to it. But if it was on "VH1’s number-one rated show, Celebrity Fit Club, where Hollywood celebrities follow his customized diet plan and compete to lose weight"…

An average-sized paleontologist contains about 10000 calories, so I would suggest consuming one paleontologist every 4 days. Keep in mind that cannibalism is illegal in most countries.
-
Dietary fat doesn't make you fat. An excess of calories makes you fat.

I thought Infinite was excellent. The gameplay was fun, the story held my attention and the graphics were incredible. I played Bioshock 1 after it and just couldn't get 'into' it for some reason. I haven't tried 2 yet.

Looks like you've only been logging for a few days. ? Give it time. Consistently meet your calorie goal for many weeks and the weight *will* come off.
