LoL @ leper reference. You're right. I have 1 and everyone keeps pushing for 2 etc. If i would have known all the responsibilities & challenges i was going to have, i might have chosen to remain childless as well. I absolutely LOVE my daughter, but I don't blame ppl who don't want kids. Mine was a surprise, like "ta-da".

I gained my weight WAY before i had my daughter.. lol and 27 is young! Live it up while you can cuz marriage & kids make you an old lady... i'm 27 going on 48. XD I would like to friend you, add me, unless you are exclusively seeking single & childless people....

does she eat pasta with the sauce? maybe when you make it next time, throw the sauce in a food processor with mid veggies (bell peppers, mushrooms, squash, etc.) and she'll eat the sauce with the pasta and still get the nutrients from the veggies you put in. My 5yr old will not try any fruit, so i try to give fruit juice…

I'm having whole-wheat spaghetti with lean ground beef (93% lean). Side salad or steamed veggies- not sure.

I agree. People have fought so hard to give us freedom for living our lives. We should be equally free to choose how we die (in the case of euthanasia, not suicide cuz yikes)

Great post! I think I was ok on all points except short term goals. I haven't really set any short-term goals mainly becuase, for me, this is a lifestyle change and I've been taking baby steps. I used to feel that short term goals might make me obsess about calories, weight, etc. but now that I think about it, I think they…

Cabbage soup, when made with other veggies, is actually very good and because it's a low-fat food, it can be effective in losing weight, BUT like any other food, it's certainly not something you would eat every day. There's a 7day cabbage soup diet, but in permanent & significant weight loss, it's a matter of leanring to…

I can't imagine this being good for your organs. They'll probably overheat and lack of water would most likely cause further damage. When we have a fever, the doctors bring it down, not because the fever itself is bad, but because our body being too hot can damage vital organs. Yikes!

It's not about being "good" or "bad" with food. If you are committing to this being a lifestyle change (to get it off and keep it off) then you just have to write it off as a mistake (to eat the whole thing ;) hehe) and move forward. It was a poor choice for nourishment, and just make the next meal be the best you can make…

Hi! We have similar things going on: I have a 5 year old, I also want to get to around 190 - 200lb. I currently weigh around 287 (i went down to 266, but I lost my motivation and went on a "screw it" spree). I would love a two-way street motivation :D Add me as a friend if you'd like or message me. :) -Cristy-

So my sister told me about this MFP group. I haven't been on here for months, because honestly, I lost my motivation and I was just out of it, but I was like, WHAT??? RPDR on MFP, new motivation! Especially since Season V is over and I'm left with a need for Ru-PaulNess... I've met Yara at Club 360 in Pomona. She smelled…

Well, from a Christian point of view: The bible does state to be of service to our fellow man (or woman). So helping around the house may not sound gooey and romantic, but it'll show her that you appreciate her hard work and that you are trying to lighten the load for her. Whether she's a stay-at-home mom or a career…

Yes, it makes sense. But just remember. What people think of Leah is none of Leah's business. Evaluate yourself based on your own standards, not the standards you perceive other people to have. Most people working out are focused on their own health and workout. :) Happy exercising!
